IISER Mohali Reviews on Placements, Faculty and Facilities

I was quite interested in basic science & what intrigued me the most was that for two years we were taught all the four disciplines which was adequate time to choose a major discipline for the Masters. Also, the curriculum at IISER also include the humanities courses (detailed & a variety) so one also gets an exposure beyond science.

I chose to be in IISER because I am interested in research and when it comes to research there is no match of IISERs in India. It has good infrastructure and all other facilities are also upto the mark. Faculty members are also so supportive.

I was interested in pursuing research in physics. IISERs were established by the Indian government to promote research and are an "Institute of National Importance". The research facilities in the IISERs are some of the best in India. The institute has excellent faculty members, some of whom are the leading researchers in their fields. The institute also has a Padma Shree and several other award winning scientists.

IISERs are the state of art institutes for learning and practicing research in basic sciences in India. The facilities and the atmosphere provided here for nurturing someone's career as a researcher are ubiquitous. Advanced Research Labs and equipments, along with a group of motivated researchers, it gives a plethora of opportunities to someone starting off early in their career itself.

It was a second good option for after not qualified for JEE Advance. I wanted to study in a good reputed college and the INSPIRE Scholarship attracted me to get admission in the course and a dual degree also attracts me.

This college as we know is one of the 7 IISER's in India. It provides great opportunities for us to do research in the respected feild. Moreover it is an institute of national importance so it was also one of the reasons why I chose this. Also the faculty here is very good and helps us in doing new research in our feild and also share the research that they did and are doing in their respective fields

It is a national importance college and one of the famous research institute in India with world class scientists as faculty. I am interested in scientific activity from birth and I found this college most suitable college for me.

Placements depend upon students. This is a research college. People come here to pursue a career in Research. They either come here for PhD or to capable enough to apply for PhD. Most of the students here pursue a PhD after their PG. Else there are companies which directly hire students from the campus.

Some professors are out of their mind. Not anyone in bio department, but definitely in physics and chemistry departments.

Wonderful place to do research and make friends along the way. The professors also become friends and guide you through your academic career.
