- The University of Stuttgart is one of the most reputed universities in Germany and is part of the TU9 cooperation/association.
- It houses a wide range of Intstitutes from the STEM background, which in turn offer a number of Bachlors/Masters programme
- It promotes state of the art research acitivities and developtment of cutting edge technologies
Dislikes
- As I was enrolled for an international course, I had to pay a tuition fee of 1500 euros each semester.
- Availability of english taught courses is pretty less, but that's the case at any other german university I guess.
- Honestly the university buildings could have had a better and a more beautiful look. They do look modern, but are very mundane without any colour and texture.
- I found the accommodation by applying for a room on the official website of Studierendenwerk. The info and link for the same were provided by my university itself.
- The monthly rent was 320 euros in the beginning with a deposit of 400 euros. It included an individual room in a shared apartment for four people. It came with a common kitchen and dining area, common Toilet/bathrooms and a common storage area in the basement.
- Due to the information provided by the university, I had no challenges in finding accommodation.
- Try to get accommodation through official channels like the portals provided by Studierendenwerk or VSSW. In case of unavailability of rooms, you can look for sublet/temporary options on various whatsapp/facebook groups created for the same
- The accommodation is literally 8-10 mins away from campus on foot. And most of the international/Indian students live here in the vicinity (Landmark/street name: Allmandring)

- There are a lot of Research opportunities at the university.
- Attendance at the UNI isn't mandatory for most classes. There are some which do have mandatory attendance but a lot of them don't so it provides a lot of flexibility.
- You can finish the course at your pace. For new students abroad it is difficult to manage everything and hence this comes real handy.
Dislikes
- It has a fees of around 1600 Euros for international students. Which is kind of not satisfying for a German uni.
- Most of the professors don't know how to teach. Atleast relative to teachers that we have in India.
- You have to pass a certain criteria to able to give an exam.
- I chose on-campus accommodation, and that's what I would recommend.
- I feel my University has the best accommodation system for Students that you can find in Germany.
- On Average the monthly rent is about 350 Euros depending on what kind of room you get.
- You just have to apply on Time and you can get into the accommodation pretty easily. I would recommend applying for the accommodation around 4 months before coming here.
- My accommodation is like a 5-minute walk from the university. Most of the Indians stay in on On-campus accommodations.

- Course curriculum and options to choose subjects
- Accommodation in the Campus
- Many places in the campus to study in group, relax or enjoy
Dislikes
- Managing Exams with work can be a bit challenging
- Not very good architecture considering it is an european university
- Assignments are not very easy to do
- We can use the university online portal to get accommodation, and here on the campus there are plenty of options. Monthly rent is 350-400€ for students. It is on the campus so hardly it takes 350-500 meters to reach any lecture hall.
- I would say it is not the best and not the worst; it's okayish for the price and you can't complain, as private rooms cost €600-1200 per month, so this is quite affordable for students.

- There were above 100 electives to choose from
- Flexible course structure: choose electives from CS an EE department
- Content of the each course
Dislikes
- There could have been more hands on projects for each course
- My studies was during covid times, so was a little tough to have a conversation with Professors (un till the lockdown was removed)
- Too much flexibility in the course, can also be a bane as the student might not take it too seriously
- The accommodation can be found through the University website.
- First we have to apply and it will be allotted based on availability. The monthly rent started at 280 euros and went up to 330 euros.
- It included a shared bathroom and kitchen and individual rooms. The rooms are sufficiently big for individual and the kitchen includes refrigerator, stove, dining table (pretty good, not great)

- Freedom/Choice of courses. For Computer Science (International - English) course, students have tens of choices of different subjects and three technical lines to follow. It all depends on the student
- Freedom to work and complete their course. Students can complete their course in minimum of 2 years or a maximum of 4.5 years.
- Most of professors are helpful and very knowledgable. Students can personally get in touch with them, and genuine effort is appreciated.

- Social Life - Difficult to make friends or have an interesting social life if you don't have a grasp on German.
- Weather - Very very difficult to stay positive in dark winters. It gets very cold and very dark in winters, and is very tough mentally - Proactively stay active and take a lot of Vitamin D.
- Healthcare - Healthcare in general in Germany can be tough especially if you have chronic diseases with a shortage of doctors and specialists.
- Accommodation—Student Dorms managed by the respective city's Studentenwerk. Social groups on Facebook also helped, like 'Indians in Stuttgart' or 'Bharat in Germany.' Accommodation is on campus for me, with a lot of indian students living in the dorms.
- Monthly Rent—280 to 420 Euros.
- Challenges—Long waitlist— Apply very early, but it is limited by when you get admitted. Follow up with the dorm management every month for an update.

- The course I opted for has a diverse course curriculum, can take any number of courses per semester.
- It lies in the outskirts of Stuttgart, close to nature and is quite peaceful.
- The teaching method includes a theoretical as well as practical approach.
Dislikes
- Transitioning as an International Student, I found the exam papers to be tougher than usual, they expect to assess our understanding rather than memorisation.
- The lecture hours are really long, it is difficult to grasp the whole lecture in one go.
- The exam question papers are very lengthy and the time duration is too short, very difficult to complete the question paper.
- I found my accommodation with the help college sponsored Student dorms which they informed us in the welcome meeting.
- The monthly rent is 347 euro and general facilities are included which are in a room (bed, table, chair, cupboard, shelves, mattress).
- It was easy getting a dorm from college sponsored student dorms. My student dorm is 2 min away from my university, pretty close.

- Uni Stuttgart is one of the prestigious TU-9’s so I’m honoured to be a part of it.
- The campus is very big, clean, green and vibrant. It’s on a hillside which makes the views awesome and pretty.
- All the sports facilities are there you name it and it’s there and it’s really impressive. Except for the conventional games they have professional wall climbing, beach volleyball, surfing etc.
Dislikes
- Research Project can be but Master Thesis can not be pursued in the industry.
- Finding a prof who supports external factors is quite difficult.
- As the campus is away from the city getting essentials is a bit extensive.
- My uni doesn’t provide accommodations but I applied through portals which provide accommodations near the university. Monthly rent is about 350€. The most challenging thing in Germany is finding accommodations so my advice would to apply for them as soon as you decide the university.
- My dorm is just 5 mins of walk away from the university. It is a 13 sharing dorm which means 13 rooms in a floor and the common space has kitchen and all three facilities and just because it’s a large sharing, the washrooms and the bathrooms are cleaned by the cleaners.

- Long wait list is a challenge that I encountered. Due to which I rented a sublet for first 2 month of my stay.
- As soon as you get university acceptance, start applying for student accommodation without waiting for your Visa will be my recommendation to prospective students .
- Being On-campus accommodation it takes me less than 10 mins on foot to reach my classes from my accommodation.

- Mensa isn't too good
- Tuition fees as it's in Baden-Wurttemburg
- High competition for HiWi and workstudent roles
- On campus - I applied to Uni stuttgart student housing. Rent is 359, heating included. The challenge was to find accommodation. It's recommended to live on campus, to not miss out on student life.
- My dorm is 10 mins away from the campus so it is very convenient to live here and attend classes.

- I stayed in a student accommodation near the campus. There are portals and websites to apply for this cheap accommodation. Monthly rent is around 300 - 350 euros including all amenities.
- There was no challenges, there are lot of rooms here for students. You just need to apply 2-3 months prior before coming to Germany and you will get a good room in time. The room is just 10 minutes walk away from the University buildings.
