- University Canteen could be better in terms of the menu rates and also the quality of food
- I found the accommodation via the university website and then via the accommodation website. The monthly rent is 350 EUR for a single room with attached sink and internet connection.
- The bathroom, toilet and kitchen are shared between the entire floor of 14 occupants. I would recommend always applying very early for accommodation so as to get a confirmed contract.
- The accommodation is right on campus, a 5 mins walk from academic buildings and lost Indian students stay here.

The major factor was the location of the university and the opportunities to work during and after studies. The university has a decent amount of courses to select from and offers a variety of them. The best part is that there are a lot of student positions within the university to help fund yourself. So, the experience has been good, and they offer various other networking events.

- The University of Stuttgart comes under the TU9 cluster and hence is well recognized.
- I love the balance between city and campus life. The campus is also quite accessible and well-connected to the city center.
- The university has more focus on research and the courses are structured in depth that way. So a lot of opportunities for research and development.
Dislikes
- The cost of living, including accommodation and daily expenses is relatively high here in Stuttgart.
- Finding accommodation can be tough, especially when you’re new – Usually able to get student housing if applied few months before arriving (5-6 months) and the private market in Stuttgart is pretty competitive.
- Some professors rely too much on theory and slides, with less focus on interactive or practical learning.

There are many facilities including single and shared rooms in university dormitories. The shared ones cost 332 euros per month whereas single rooms cost approximately 360 euros. Apartments outside the university cost around 500-600 euros per month.

I opted for on-campus accommodation through VSSW (Verein Stuttgarter Studentenwohnheime) - specifically for students and is quite popular among international students, especially Indians.

I applied directly on the VSSW website after getting my admission. My rent at VSSW is €347 per month

- At the university you have frequent job fairs which is quite helpful.
- Also the university allows doing masters thesis from companies like Mercedes and Bosch due to close tie relations.
- It has good lab facilities and during summers you have various sports activities, dance classes, yoga, etc which you can register and participate in.
Dislikes
- Stuttgart is a bit costly. So for more money, the room that you get will be smaller than the rest of the cities.
- Dorm rooms at the university are small. It's clean but really small so I find it a bit inconvenient. But there are better dorms but it's a bit costly.
- Subjects are difficult. Becomes a bit stressful to manage studies and working student jobs. It's not something I don't like but yes it's stressful to study. But I believe it would be the same for any TU because it's focused on research.
I chose this University because companies give preference if passed out from this university as it is quite reputed and also Stuttgart is known for its industries hence getting a work is easier.

- My main aim was change from Electrical to CS and wanted a bridging course with focus in ML.
- This place is like a hub of creativity and innovation! From cutting-edge research to cool student projects, there's always something exciting happening on campus. You'll meet people from all over the globe here. It's like a mini United Nations on campus, which makes for some really interesting conversations and friendships.
Dislikes
- Dealing with the admin can feel like navigating a labyrinth. From registering for classes to sorting out financial aid, be prepared to jump through hoops. The campus lacks that vibrant, buzzing atmosphere you might expect from a university. It's not exactly the place where you'll find spontaneous gatherings or exciting events around every corner.
It was a good experience overall. I got what I wanted from the university. Prof, courses and friends were the things that I had aimed for. I got them all and more.

- The Intelligently crafted curriculum with tracks in my areas of interest, not limited to RF technology, microwave front end design, microwave engineering, and microwave CAD lab. I’m certain that the program has been designed to create the best learning outcomes and augment my skills to the next level.
- The graduate program in electrical engineering opens doors for unprecedented success, by endeavoring to not only push this field forward with its research projects but to do the same for the students there, which I find to be promising for the achievement of my plans.
- Many opportunities surrounding the University , sports, HiWi, work, Part-time etc. the Intelligently crafted curriculum with tracks in my areas of interest, not limited to RF technology, microwave front end design, microwave engineering, and microwave CAD lab. Dislikes
- Labs are inadequate and less intake even though the intake for masters in very high. Doesn't allow for external thesis or research projects. This is very stupid in-fact, doesn't provide a topic in University and doesn't allow external ones.
Overall experience at this university was great, widens knowledge, made new friends, learned to play new sports, new habits, new perspectives. Overall good.

- The course matched with what I was looking for and I already had some first experience in the field.
- I liked the subsidized accommodations and the location of the university. Everything was available next to the university including transportation, outdoor stroll place and Internet.
Dislikes
- Infrastructure for the course, the class itself is okay but the lab exercises are not explained enough and most of us were clueless on what to do. The opportunity to work by yourself after classes in the lab was also limited.
Overall, I had a fun time and experience meeting new people from different culture. Learning new things in and out of my course. Master thesis period was the hardest and I had friends and family who supported me during this course. Learned a lot during the first year and the load was not so high during the consecutive years. Exams are bit different and tough for the first time. Everyone from my course managed and landed on a job.

- The course is very flexible, with both Electrical and Computer Science courses available. There is a good job market in the area. It is also a TU9 and is renowned for its innovative outlook on research.
- The University has an exceptionally beautiful campus. There are beautiful hills and trails available. There is good on campus accommodation available (although you need to be quick to apply). The faculty is experienced and there's a lot of scope for research.
- There are lots of opportunities for Werkstudent and HiWi. There's a good job market available in the nearby regions and cities as well. The city is also very international and is very happening. Transportation is cheap. It's easy to go in and around the city, and even state.
Dislikes
- "The only few downsides are that the courses may be a little too theoretical, and might not suit people looking for practical experience. Difficult to complete the course on time (although it's the case for any TU, especially a TU9) Getting on campus accommodation may also be very difficult. Apart from this it's a good place to study "
The experience in my Uni has been exciting. Coming to a foreign country is already a journey, but in a country in Europe it's even more wonderful. There are numerous challenges, like the slow bureaucratic procedures, the language barrier (occasional) and the finicky weather, but overall it has been an enriching experience. The education here is top class and I am excited to see how it goes.

- The university that I choose is listed among one of the top 9 Technical Universities of Germany. The course was really good. The university is located in Stuttgart which is the automotive hub of Germany. There are lot of startups and companies like Diamler, Bosch, Mercedes Benz AG and etc. which makes it easier to get a working student job while studying. This covers living and food expenses. Students can work upto 80 hours per month. Since Stuttgart is a major city, the public transport is great and you don’t need a car to move around. Major part this course was taught in English, it was an international course. The University took care of our accommodation so I was very relaxed and my moving from India to Germany was very smooth. They also assigned a study buddy (a German senior student) to pick me up from airport and bring me to my dorm room.
- The university campus is great, it’s located right above the metro station which makes it very easier to reach the university. The student dorms are located in the vicinity of a Kilometer. For international students there are lot of inclusion programs and orientation programs to help them navigate through the university departments and to feel at home. The university also offers interactive German language courses. There is also an international centre that comes up with various events and excursions to familiarise the international students with German culture. The university has a copy centre to get Print-outs at subsidised prizes. There is a student canteen that provides food at subsidised price for the students. Every student enrolled gets a travel pass that be used from 6:00pm onwards till 6:00 am next day in the week days and can used 24 hours on weekends. Other than that university campus has got a small forest adjacent to it. Where students can go cycling, trekking walking etc. there are also some lakes also near by. Overall the campus life is very nice.
Dislikes
- There is nothing major to dislike about. Only thing is that Masters in Technical Universities can take more than 2 years. It’s almost impossible to finish the course in two years. Also information technology course can get complex sometimes. The number of courses in the specialisation are overwhelming, sometimes it becomes hard to choose courses as all are great courses and it’s not possible to do everything. So one really need to be careful while choosing courses as it makes a difference when one is looking for jobs.
My overall experience was excellent. It’s not just about studies but my exposure to different types of people and different cultures made me a better person. It gave me confidence that I can navigate through any situation in my life. I also learnt and watched technology, it’s good and bad side very closely. I could also develop critical thinking and think in more research oriented way. I got acquainted with German culture and their love for design perfection and discipline inspires me.

- - The state of Baden Wüttemberg has a semester fee of 1700 Euros - The University has strict policies with respect to its course and might be at times difficult for students to deal with it - You might miss the final convocation ceremony the way you must have imagined
The University is more than what I expected. Be it with respect to course, accommodation, city etc, everything was just super. Also coming a new country with its own culture and language helps the student to come out of his/her comfort zone and also develops the soft skills.
