Some admistrative works take tedious time to complete. Our institute repetedly asks for same documents again and again. One positive thing is that this instituition shows your capabilities. It helps to keep the growth inside you. My college tagline is "You have to create your own opportunities, none is there to do for you".

The course curriculum is designed according to modern day needs and helps to find solutions to modern day problems.The curriculum is revised every year. New chapters are added so that students do not lag behind in finding solutions. Exam consists of both Written exam and Practical exam. Written exam consists of two papers. So per semester two written exam and one practical exam.

Many companies come for providing placements and job opportunities. Our college provides internship facilities. For internship in our college one has to mail the professor according to a students interest and on getting positive reply he/she can come for the internship. Stipend is provided as per the professor's interest.

Our college have many student clubs who by collaboration organise fests like Aarohan, Aavishkar, Recstacy and mny other small events with collaboration with other companies. Some clubs organise cultural activities on special occasions. Events are both technical and non-technical so that students can express them. All through the year many events are organised.

Fee Structure is separated according to family income so that everyone can avail education there. For students with good income of above 5 lpa fee is about 70k per semester. For between 1lpa and 5 lpa it's about 24k. And below 1 lpa is about 7k. So fees is feasible.

OPJEMS scholarship is there for department top three students. Education loan is available for students. SBI and Canara bank is there to provide loan facilities. Scholarship is there for WB govt school students.

Extracurricular activities like dance and music is organised. Dance and music club is there to organise cultural activities. TEQUIP sponsored lab activities are held all around the year. Our college actively participate in inter NIT sports meet held every year. Our college give emphasis on sport activities very much and organise Sports day and many sports events within the campus.

Hostel infrastructure is not so bad. Required facilities are provided. Three students are alloted in a room and in fourth year single rooms are allocated. Food quality is more or less edible. Student committee is formed who looks into these matters. Infrastructure is improved every year.

Alumni come every year to provide their valuable knowledge and they tell about how this instituition helped them to grow up in their field. Senior students are very helpful as they are always there to share their experiences on certain topics. They always give valuable advises to their juniors so that they don't repeat their mistakes.

I got admission by securing a rank in JEE Mains. Then I filled my choice of degree and college in JoSAA. According to my rank I was awarded a seat in my Institute i.e. B.Tech Mechanical Engineering in NIT Durgapur. Then I locked my choice and then chose a date to go to respective reporting centre to provide them documents for verification. And then went to NIT DURGAPUR to get admission.

Faculty of our college is more or less very cooperative. They will always give you time regarding any problem. But sometimes they tend to skip classes. But as a hole they always have answer to your problems. Some professors are their to help you financially. So they are very much in helping students.
