Campus Life
Gender ratio was poor there were around 75 80 girls and over 400 boys in our batch ethnic diversity was rich as we had people from all around the country as we had specific seats for each state although some amount of regional tension existed there was no influence of outside political parties and there were no issues due to religion at any point of time.
Hostel Facilities
Hostel facilities included shared rooms till third year (mostly 3 or 4 people in a room), and single rooms in final year amenities included food, electricity, water and internet rooms were decent but since these are old buildings, leakages were common.
Alumni/Alumna
Alumni network is poor those in the alumni group do not interact much with the current crop of students, and not many who pass out register to the alumni group the management of the alumni group are basically from 1970s and 1980s which was long before the college became NIT seniors generally remain in touch with juniors they personally know.
Exam Structure
We had semester exams with a portion of marks coming from attendance and class tests (30%) the lab tests were separate, and carried individual credit points overall, in a semester there were around 6 theory exams, 4 lab tests and 12 class tests.
Faculty
The faculty for the newer departments like Electronics, Information Technology and Computer Science barely had proper faculty most of the professors were college alumni from a very different background and most of them were going through their own MTech a
