Course Curriculum Overview

Being in PETROLEUM engineering branch with specialisation in gas stream I'm not impressed with the course curriculum because we are not fully specified PETROLEUM engineer we go through chemical as well which honestly we don't want to and we faced many problems in the college as we are under chemical department which is nonsense

Placement Experience

Nowadays placement percentage are very low for NON CIT although CIT students have got some big package too. Not a single company came for internship for my branch this year and we are seriously under pressure.

College Events

We have student chapters in our college like SEG, SPE and FIPI etc and individually these chapters conduct fest every year at their level and then our college have URJA one of the best cultural festival in our college

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fee is the main issue in our college it's seriously very expensive. Being a middle class man my dad is really working hard for me just to pay my fees so i hope in future it would be better for the college to reduce it

Fees and Financial Aid

Yes it provide scholarship for merit students and for those who secured got rank in the Upes entrance exam and also if you're a merit student or a good ranker in jee exams because they select students through jee too

Campus Life

Not that good in sports but labs and other activities are good as being a part of student chapter i have learned alot of things like I'm a publicity head and i had removed my stage fear and also learned many other things

Hostel Facilities

No I'm in Paying Guest room near the college which cost me around 40k per year without food and its very difficult to get food nearby though there are some mess near me but the quality of food is literally disgusting

External Expense: Rs.7000 - Rs.10000

Alumni/Alumna

UPES conducts an exam every year ,i have filled the entrance form through their site which costs me around 2k then i secured 2047 rank AIR by which i got PETROLEUM engineering branch with specialisation in gas stream

College faculties are good and supportive. they are always ready to help us and support whenever we need them for eg. I'm currently doing a research under Dr. NILANJANA MAM she is one of best teacher i had ever got in my life.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I choose this course because of its affordability and the teaching quality of this college is good . They helps in choosing the real life application based projects . Teaching methods are impressive but they don't provide notes . We have make notes by attending class regularly. Frequency and timings of exams are of 3 hrs. For each subject . Difficulty level is moderate and students can prepare it well in the gap days also .

IIT Roorkee is the best one can get on overall basis.

Placement Experience:

Campus placement starts in Semester 7 and 8 for can say, in the last of graduation. HUL,TCS, Microsoft,JP Morgan and many huge companies visit campus for placements. Highest pakage in placement goes around 1.5 crore annually to lowest pakage around 8 LPA. Companies mainly comes for SDE role. But apart that few comes for PM, Data Science, Consulting profiles as well.

Responsive faculty and well managed curriculum to focus on specific areas of each students to make them better in the region of technolgy where they want to grow. mid level toughness with regular tests and end sem combining the internal and external practical exams.

I always loved coding and learning about new technologies. Also, jobs in CS/IT department are paid high. The faculty and student ratio is on the medium side. Faculties are highly qualified from IIT and top private colleges. They are very helpful and have a great pedagogy.

Best college of uttrakhand

Remarks:

A very good college. There is no spoon feeding scene like that of private institute. As good ranking students are there you can have a good academic competition which will nurture your ability and groom to you be a better engineer.

UPES CSE Program provide the best insights!

No safety nets for getting admission in UPES as university is strict in taking students. UPES Engineering Admission Test also known as UPESAT has to be cleared.
