Remarks

No. I don't have any negative remarks as such to comment upon except that costs here are little expensive. Not just my college fees but the food outside is also expensive. I love my college and I consider it a blessing being here.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

Medical is considered on of the toughest courses. According to the curriculum we have exams annually. And many things are changing now. There are flip class being introduced. More of discussion based teaching which includes seminars, hospital posting includes case presentations.

Placement Experience

2

Being a medical college we don't have anything called as placements unlike engineering peers. We do have internship of an year. We are paid stipend of Rs. 5000 per month or so. But I still have time to go for my internship phase.

College Events

4.5

We celebrate all the major festivals like Ganesh Chaturthi - we bring a very big idol of Ganesha and a medium sized Ganesha idol one is placed in the temple inside the campus and other one exclusively in our girls hostel, They are placed for a duration of 5 days and then visarjan is done of both the idols together. We do aarthi everyday batchwise. We dance and celebrate it in a very grand way. We have special food in the mess. Dusshera we do Ayudha Pooja on the 8th day in the hospital and college. Diwali- Lakshmi Pooja is done and special food is prepared for relishing. Those willing to go home. Take off and celebrate it with family at their place. Apart from this we celebrate our annual day, Athletic meet, Trinity ( college fest), Teacher's day, Kannada rajyotsava, Basava Jayanti, Independence Day, Republic Day, Gandhi Jayanti

Fee Structure And Facilities

Expensive. In fact very expensive for a middle class family like mine. My batch is paying 6 Lakhs, My juniors are paying 8 Lakhs, 11 Lakhs, 13 lakhs and so on. Medical college fees not only in my college but every other private and deemed university have the same fee infrastructure. Medical course it self is too costly as it costly us monetarily and well as our youth.

Fees and Financial Aid

We are given cash prizes for securing the highest marks in the respective subjects. There are many donors who are contributing for these scholarships. They are distributed to us on every annual day by the chief guest who has been invited on that very special day

Campus Life

4.5

We have a separate school of music for those who would wish to learn music, All indoor and outdoor sports facilities are there, we have a tie up with the government to use district stadium and practice many outdoor games, we have trainers, we have a good swimming pool and a gym, coming to labs, we have amazing labs for every subject in every year. We have separate lab sessions and trained there as well, apart from that we have our own hospital about 2400 bedded and a lot of exposure to patients right since our UG days we call it postings where we go take a case, interact with the patient and their families etc.

Hostel Facilities

4

Yes, I do stay in the hostel, My hostel fees is around 21000 per annum with a deposit of about 9000. This doesn't include the mess bill, Mess bill comes upto 3000 per month separately. Apart from that cost of laundry about 1500 to 2000

Alumni/Alumna

We have a strong senior junior rapport, they are very helpful, we have social media pages on Facebook and Instagram, Even otherwise with phone contacts we are all in touch. And our seniors they guide us really well when they are in the college and even after they pass out. In fact they take us along with them, they share all the ways that they have been exploring and give us better ideas to have a better future once we our out of here.

Admission

I wrote nearly 9 entrance exams one of them was of my college. I hadn't performed very well in the other exams because my strength being biology. This instituition is a to be deemed university and it had its own curriculum. And biology had more weight age so I was very keen pursuing in this college. And I performed well in it. Secured a rank of 81 and was called for counselling and then I was given admission and henceforth I am here.

Course Curriculum Overview:

curriculum is designed to be highly relevant and comprehensive for modern medical practice.Early Clinical Exposure is One of the strongest aspects of the curriculum is introducing students to patients in their very second year. The final year of the curriculum—the Compulsory Rotatory Residential Internship (CRRI) is effective it prepares students for the high-pressure environment of Indian healthcare, making them very capable of handling emergencies and outpatient departments (OPD ). Students feel that lectures are still too focused on passive PowerPoint presentations.Rigorous schedule, integrating "Life Skills" or "Stress Management" modules more formally into the foundation course would be helpful. The university exams (RGUHS) are generally fair but require a very high level of descriptive writing and practical precision.
