Remarks
The college is great with a nice infrastructure and good students. There are optional research projects available for interested students where professors also help them. Only negative remarks is the professors should be more student friendly and helpful.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course curriculum is pretty much old school. Though some of the courses are useful. The course consists of 8 semesters. In every semester there is one mid semester exam of 20 marks, end semester exam of 70 marks and 10 marks from class attendance.
Placement Experience
Placements and job opportunities are great and it gets better every year. Placements also differ department wise. Few companies come with internship offers for 3rd year students. Mostly for CSE, ECE, IT students but other departments also get their chance in the few companies.
College Events
Our college used to organize quite a number a fests till 2016-17 like VERVE, ANK, AAROHAN, Moto Zungdung, MUKTI and biggest cultural fest Recstacy. But now only 3 fests happen every year. These are AAROHAN, AAVISHKAR and Recstacy.
Fee Structure And Facilities
The fee structure is feasible but not inexpensive. For sc, st and students whose family income is less than 1 lakh per annum have to pay around 7000 every semester. Students whose family income is between 1 lakh to 5 lakh per annum have to pay around 28000 and students with family income greater than 5 lakhs have to pay around 70000 per annum.
Fees and Financial Aid
Yes there are quite a few scholarship options students get after getting into college. Some scholarships are provided by state government to meritorious students with low family income. Samsung provides a scholarship to Navodayan students.
Campus Life
There are a lot of extracurricular activities options in our college like Martial arts, yoga, NCC. Sports available are cricket, football, volleyball, basketball, tennis, table tennis, badminton, chess. InterNIT sports event happens every year for the above mentioned sports.
Alumni/Alumna
The alumni network is quite great. They refer college students in their companies for nice job roles. Senior students in college also help juniors to develop their personality and attitude. Alumni network is very helpful.
Admission
I passed the Joint Entrance Examination Main 2016 exam. The board exam marks also helped in the ranking system. After the ranklist released we participated in JOSAA seat allocation process. We opted for our desired branches there. Based on our ranks we were allotted different departments.
Faculty
The college faculties are different. Some faculties are good but most of them are below average. Mechanical department has some of the best faculties in college. Some faculties are serious about class attendance while some doesn't care about that.
