Remarks
The biggest positive factor is the cultural diversity that exist in our campus. It allows us to get great exposure and also provides insight into a number of things that make the society. Also a positive point are the equipment at our disposal.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course structure is focused on petroleum Geoscience mainly and the course is distributed in a perfect manner such that students can easily correlate between the subjects. We have lectures based on credits and this varies from semester to semester. But in brief, it is neither chill or hectic.
Placement Experience
Our College has a potent career service team that works towards ensuring that students get an opportunity to do what they want to. This includes jobs, intern and even preparation for competitive exams.
College Events
We have two fest hosted by the College: the fun one (uurja) and the techno-legal-business- management: Ignite. Other than that, we have weekly celebrations called wow Wednesday and alot of events hosted by student chapters.
Fee Structure And Facilities
The fee structure varies from branch to branch and is on the expensive side at about 20L for the entire course. This includes the educational fees, ans the accomodation fee. If you want to live outside the campus, your course fee is 12-15 Lacs and the stay can be at any price from 85K to 1.6L a year.
Fees and Financial Aid
Our College has a merit list for which students are provided with 20 percent. The quote for qualifying for the same is a minimum SGPA of 8.5. Our College has also announced a scholarship of 25% for women in order to empower them and present a better ratio in the graduates
Campus Life
Our gender ratio is not exactly 50-50 but may be approximately due to the range of courses offered. Their are parties hosted along with the numerous fest hosted by College and student chapters. There are regular competition based on sports such as cricket ans football. We have a diverse environment with even foreign exchange student.
Alumni/Alumna
There exist no boundaries between the seniors and juniors in the campus. We have regular conversation with them and there exist no hierarchical attitude. There are regular conversation based on academics, social life and other external affairs
Admission
We had a merit list based admission and I was the second last on the list. I always wanted to pursue GSE and upes is one of the rare College in India that offers the course. We first had a counselling round where there were limited seats available. On basis of first come first serve, the seats were filled.
Faculty
Our facilities are one of the best things of our cllg. We have teachers from different background. We have teachers who have 20 plus years of experience. We have newly graduate teachers and we also have teachers with industrial background and experience.
