Remarks

My college premises is not at all clean. you cannot step into washrooms they stink so badly. In my entire three years i had never used my college washrooms. Roof ceilings are like that they will fall any time on your haed. No proper light and fans. Not even coolers during summers. Cleaning staff is very arrogant. It seems as if universirty does not provide funds to them or either college principles are corrupt.

Entrance Preview

I gave AIPMT & IIT entrance exams but I could not clear those exams since I had not prepared for them. I wanted to do a course which gives me outer knowledeg as well as needs dedicated studies and as I expected Economics Honours is one of the toughtest course. After months of hardwork you barely just get passing marks. Admission procedure is very easy you just need to be 90 percent to get into this course.

Internships Opportunities

Not many companies came during my placement year and annual package offered was 3 lacs per annum. I did not do any internship. But most of the internships that were offered were non paid just for experience and those that were paid they offered 1000 per month not more than that.

Placement Experience

1

I dont remember which companies came.but most of them were call centers that came. They were hiring students on a training basis for 6 months and then after that they will hire tham as employees.

College Events

3

Economics society is one of most active society in my college. every economics event was celebrated on a grand scale. we organise economics cultural festival 'ECONOMANIA', our magazine 'OPTIMA' economics blog 'ECOVOGUE', farewell, freshers and alumni meet. these are all ssociety events. College events include MISS DRC which is one of the biggest event, sports annual day, NSS organize many evnts, we celebrate independence day, organize diwali mela, visit to orphanages & home shelters, blood camp is organised, DRC CULTURAL FESTIVAL 'MANJARI' is organised on a large scale.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fees structure is very feasible. Eventually anybody can attain their graduation through delhi university. But the system is very outdated. Delhi university doesnot care about students year. There result process, revauation process is very slow. they do not have an urgent corner.

Fees and Financial Aid

No. colleges dont offer loan. They offer scholarships to sc/st students but that is also provided by the central government not the college.

Campus Life

1.5

Campus life is one of the best experience one have in a life. I enjoyed my college life alot. Many parties are organised in the college that includes both official and non official. Many debate competitond, dance competitons, music competitons, craft competitions, poetry competitions are organsied in many colleges.

Hostel Facilities

1.5

My college hostel is the best hostel in the entire north campus. It has very strict rules regarding timings, meeting guardians. Nobody is allowed to go out after 700 pm. I dont know much about food and room because i was a day scholar. but rooms are ac rooms and cooler rooms.

Alumni/Alumna

No, i am not in touch with any of my seniors on a personal level. but yes we do connect through social media. Many peole are good and guide you genuinely but others take ia as a headace. so i dont connect with them buit we have a strong alumni network because most of them are in government sector.

Exam Structure

Exam structure is very simple but exams are not simple. If you are not well prepared then you cannot pass in the exams.

Faculty

3

Facuty is good. Some teachers are very good and friendly while others are not. But depending only on the lectures is not enough to pass the exam. Some teachers are very punctual and very dedicated towards their work. But others take it just as a formality. That is why students depend more on coaching classes.

The course curriculum is a bit too theoretical and less practical. The exams in the college takes places every month which are seasonals and are for internal marking and then we have semester exams in every 6 months which accounts for the external marking.

Placement Experience:

Placements are available in college, the drive is quite extensive, everyone is made aware of the choices and options and counselling is present too. It is from the third year, students are eligible to apply for placements. Companies and organisations take part such as Niti ayog, Times, Geostrata, Prajatantra foundation, etc. Those who desire usually work on their CVs, keep on doi internships and then get a placement. The packages are not that impressive to be honest.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course is really very interesting. It keeps up with our expectations. Involves both practical and theoretical aspects to make sure that we are able to face the real world. Also, with the help of the guidance that we get from teachers we're able to ace both the aspects. The examinations also are based on applications, thus, helping us to enhance ourselves in all possibilities.

I got a seat in Ramjas College. It is a north-campus college. The infrastructure is too good compared to the remaining colleges. The teaching also going well but I faced some language problems. I'm from south India so I don't understand Hindi properly. But here mostly they teach in Hindi only and English is used very rarely.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course itself is prestigious and is mostly opted for by people who plan either on preparing for the Civil Services or those who want to pursue academia. The course structure is framed in a manner that you don't just simply study history there, but you ingrain a critical viewpoint of a young historian. The faculty of History Hons. has some of the best Professors in the University, although you will in any course at any college find some teachers below your expectations, you don't have to bear them for more than 1 or 2 semesters. Passing the exams is not very difficult, but yes scoring above average is. If you get a GPA ranging from 6 to 7, you've performed fine. Above that is considered a Very good performance in Hons. courses of Social sciences at Delhi University. there are semester exams every 5- 6 months
