Our college should have to improve some of its external aspects.
Course Curriculum Overview
For the first two semesters,all the students have the same curriculum. From the third semester, every individual starts to learn their main course. Every semester contains of 100 marks in which we have 25 marks for mid term examination and we have rest of the marks for end term. In this way,we have atleast 5 subjects for each semester and everything is converted to CGPA.
Placement Experience
Coming to the point of placements,we computer engineering students have a highest percentage of placements. It is around 90-96 percent approximately every year. Large companies like Microsoft, Wipro and Infosys etc come for placements.
College Events
We have a cultural fest and a tech fest in every academic year.The tech fest is Aarohan and the cultural fest is Recstacy. We also celebrate Matrubasha divas grandly in our college. We enjoy in our fests in such a way that it would be our last day on Earth.
Fee Structure And Facilities
It is a sort of biasing in the fee payment. Because for OC People,it is high and for backward castes,it is very low. This is not fair.because there might be low income people in OC caste and there might be high income people in backward castes. This system must be removed and they should have to arrange fee according to their family income.
Fees and Financial Aid
I couldn't opt in for any scholarships because my family income is above 5 lakhs. But we applied for an education loan. We did so many things in this process. We compared every bank interest and selected a bank and applied loan for it and we got the loan.
Campus Life
The gender ratio is pretty low and it is around 0.5. we have different time table so we have different periods at different time. Our hostel rooms are very close to our canteen and we spend our leisure time in canteen. I am an NSS Volunteer and other students are having other Co curricular activities.
Hostel Facilities
For every two semesters,we should have to change our Hall that is we should have to change our hostel rooms. Our first year we are in a room which is pretty good and the next room is not such good when compared to first year room. In our fourth year,we get a single room for each individual. Until then we have 3 person's per room
Alumni/Alumna
Previously,there is a culture called raging and these days raging is banned in our college. But our seniors are very friendly with us.
Admission
I got a good rank in the entrance exam for nits that is JEE Mains. it was around in August second week,I entered in NIT Durgapur.I opted into this course because of only single reason,to learn the subject from the beginning. Besides the education system,our regional students strength is large. After getting admission,I got a room in Hall 11, one of the hostel blocks.
Faculty
Some of our faculty have exceptionally excellent skills regarding their course and I think only a few of them are not qualified because their teaching skills didn't met our expectations. Their teaching is such that they are in a hurry to complete their syllabus. Many of the teachers are old but experienced.
