Remarks
I am very inclined towards automobile, vehicles, and mechanics. And I know that mechanical engineering is a core branch and very old course of this institution. Also this is a national institute, so placements will be better. So I opted for this branch and institute.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course syllabus is provided from the MHRD. So syllabus is up to date and well divided according to our needed knowledge. Faculties are top class as this is a old institute. They are very well educated and have great knowledge of their subjects. Every department faculties are good. There is good opportunity for good internships. Industrial visits are also conducted from college side.
Internships Opportunities
I am on second year and I will be getting internships in third year.
Placement Experience
Job placement is good and average salary package is also decent. Huge number of companies visit for placement. Tata motors, Infotech, Infosys, Microsoft, Amazon, TCS are among a few to name. Alumnae of our college are working in top multi national company. Some are CEOs also.
College Events
There are 2 fests in our college. One is a technical fest called AAROHAN, and the other is the cultural fest named as Nityamuni. Both are huge events. They span over 4-5 days, accordingly. Massive number of small events take place during the fests. There are different types of competitions, gaming arenas, robot battles, gaming nights, seminars with guest lecturer from elite universities and companies etc etc. And the DJ nights and EDM functions are a cherry on top.
Fees and Financial Aid
There are different scholarship schemes for different caste students like general, obc, sc and st. Loan facility is also there for everyone if they want to take it. For particular scholarship for which anyone is eligible they need to get the information from scholarship cell of the college.
Campus Life
Hostel structures are good. Sport facilities are also good. You will be trained with the team if you get selected on inter NIT college team. WiFi facility is average. But our library is top class. The book stock is huge and the management is also good. Speaking of laboratory; the equipments are good and provided from TEQIP. Labs are well maintained.
Hostel Facilities
Everyone has to opt for hostels. Hostels are good. There locations are very calculated. Seniors are not allowed to visit junior hostels. Academic building is not far from hostels. WiFi is good. Mess food is also good. One room is shared by 3 people. But the rooms are spacious and comfortable. Daily cleaning is there for hostel bathrooms. Overall hostel facility is good.
