Remarks

All in all, my college was awesome with almost all the facility and growth for the needy and enthusiastic but I must say there is always scope of development in one or other field i must say that due to inner politics sometimes there is mass bunk or so which hampers study. So the student gymkhana and management must have a good sync and college must care more about there student then money.

Entrance Preview

I took AIEEE competitive exam and I scored a AIR 23552 (approx.).I selected NIT Dgp because it was in West Bengal near my hometown and secondly I was having a home quota advantage their so got better department here.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

It was learning and adventures with lots of motivation and goof friends. Got placed at Samsung and was very happy with placement committee. Some places college do lack insight. But everything cant be perfect all in all great experience.

Internships Opportunities

I have been offered internship at ericsson the credit goes to Head TPR. He worked really hard to communicate with all interested candidate and make my entry into the top 5 list of student eligible for the position. I was offered a stipend of 7000. Though there are other companies too giving a stipend of 15000+ its just matter of knowledge and luck.

Placement Experience

4.5

Its is good for the IT CSE department but rest is a mystery especially electronics and biotechnology if you are smart and intelligent you can easily grab a job of 7+ lpa and in long run the college tag helps a lot. Currently mostly all of my friends(CSE & IT) from the college are earning more then 12+ lpa.

College Events

4.5

College has a very good system for cultural, technical, and other activities there are many club and every fresher get an equal opportunity for the same. You can be into the club and explore as much possible.Senior and Junior bonding is good. Recstacy being one of the huge cultural fest with fashion show, ramp-walk, dance, celebrity, band etc for 4 days. Ank, AArohan etc are technical fest with lots of event like robotics, games, treasure hunt etc with big prize money that makes it huge and competitive. Mukti being the coder fest where u get to explore in logic and other programming stuff. There are also debate, story telling drama etc if you want to explore you have the platform.

Fee Structure And Facilities

In my time it was around Rs. 21000 per semester which seems fine as compared with other private college and truly NIT has gave me a lot of exposure and life. So its truly worth it so it was feasible in my time current scenario I think it has been increased.

Fees and Financial Aid

No I didn't have needed one but yes my friends have got good scholarship from the college if you are from weak financial background you are welcome for the scholarship educational Loan is also easily available.

Campus Life

3.5

Campus life was awesome there are different play grounds. I learnt volleyball basket ball in college. We have two big cricket and football ground official cricket, football, Volleyball, Badminton etc team who play inter Intra-college competition held at different part of India. There is also indoor games competition too like Table Tennis, Chess, carom board etc. Student too organised video games and other competition for fun. Many more to say but I think this will give the insight.

Hostel Facilities

3

Hostel rooms are good there has been new construction all over but the food is not good its very regional. All time its like rice and daal though hygienic but not tasty to fill your stomach living with friends truly doesn't mattered that much.

Alumni/Alumna

Seniors and alumini are helpful as all are away from home, they are our guardian in college always there to guide and help in any respects its all about how you bonds with them you must interact and be open minded.

Exam Structure

Exam is semester wise in between we have mid term which is of 25 - 50 marks we have class assignment and projects too for practicals semester exam has 70 marks paper out of which we have to solve some 5 out of 6, 14 marks sub question. Paper standard depends on professor to professor their is no favoritism if you are attentive in class, you can score well 75% attendance is compulsory though in mid term its lenient.

Faculty

4.5

It was good though bit shaggy at sometimes but after all its govt. college so have to deal with it.Some teachers and professors were knowledgeable some were just enjoying their paychecks.

I don't have idea about the placements since I'm in first year now. But I talked to a senior and got to know that many got multiple offers in 4th year. I also head that packages are around 4 lpa which is a decent and also a rise than the previous year.

Placement Experience:

The campus placements happen in final year of the course. There is a well established placement cell to conduct the on-campus placements. Many well renowned companies visit our college namely Microsoft, Google, TI, TSL, PWC, ICICI, ABG. L&T, etc. The highest package was 50LPA and the average was around 9LPA. Over 90% students got placed from across every department and details of the placement is also available in the college official website. I have gotten a job from the on-campus drive to a core company.

Placement Experience:

The placements of our college are below average. Studies for placement are more or less relevant from second semester. companies like tcs, amazon etc do visit our campus however very few are selected with package above 4-5 LPA. Most of the students seek out for higher studies and that's my plan too.

Placement Experience:

After the 6th semester, the students are eligible for placements. Mass recruiters like TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Accenture, Capgemini, etc visit every year and pick up 80-100 students per company. Other companies like Amazon, Thoughtworks, Etc also visit the college. The highest package offered by our college is 15LPA by Thoughtworks. Every year around 75-80% of students get placed on campus. I plan to get a good job work for 2-3 years and then apply for Masters. Overall the placement is very nice in this college.
