Entrance Preview
I admitted through GATE 2015 exam and i got 476/1000 score. I'm interested in doing M.Tech, so i chose M.Tech and i wanted to do in a reputed colleges like IITs and NITs, that's why i joined in NIT.
Course Curriculum Overview
Course content is good as it is college of national importance. The depth in subjects also very good and we can learn so many things from these subjects. Here there are so many research topics available if any wants to do research. There will be two electives per semester and there are 2 semesters in a year. Second year will be project.
Internships Opportunities
As far as our branch concerned there are no internships provision. But for some other branches like ECE, they are having internship provision for some students.
Placement Experience
As far as M.Tech is concerned, there are no core placements. But we can assure about software companies. Infosys, wipro, IBM etc and more are coming to recruit in bulk amount of students. For B.Tech, there are placements in core as well as software companies.
College Events
Fests are being conducted by students. So many students participate in the fest. There will be one fest by students per semester. So per year there will be two fests. Some times some companies come to the college and they conduct fests and we can attend the fests freely and no need to pay any amount for that fest. Some times professors also conduct some conferences and we can attend them.
Fee Structure And Facilities
Among all NITs, fee structure of my college is feasible. It is somewhat less than other NITs. For M.Tech, other NITs charging almost 70000 to 80000 per semester but here it is 60000 only. Here the tuition fee is 35000 per semester and it will be same for four semesters but at the time of taking admission, there will be some extra charges like caution fee.
Fees and Financial Aid
State Bank of India and Canara Bank are providing educational loans for reasonable interests. Poor people can utilize this opportunity of taking loans. The banks are inside the campus.
Campus Life
When i came to campus, i felt very lonely but after few days i mingled with so many persons who are from all over India. What i mean to say is we can make our contacts very good and we can increase the friends circle all over india. Male and female ratio is 50:50. For sports, there is big ground.
Exam Structure
There not much burden from exams. There will be on mid semester exam and one semester end exam schedule. So from exams point of view, it is not hectic. The exams will be conducted for all the students at a time for B.Tech and M.Tech students. As it is deemed university, papers are set by our professors only.
Faculty
Here all the faculty are well qualified teachers and all most all are have PhD and doctorate. They are very helpful to the students as they have so much knowledge in the subjects and they got so much exposure in the subject as well as in practical studies.
