Remarks
Daulat Ram College is one of the best colleges in DU for psychology Hons. The professors are extremely understanding lenient as well as disciplined. The environment is extremely good and supportive. The course is the most sophisticated one in the college and the department has a separate area. Academics are extremely good. Teachers are highly knowledgeable and wish to impart knowledge genuinely. It also conducts many activities and functions from time to time adding fun to learning. The college is in north campus making the environment student-friendly with all facilities and food points nearby. Metro station is walking distance making commute easy giving a plus point to the college. Admission is done via merit and cut off lists. Being one of the most sought after courses, the cut-offs are more than 95% always giving good competition to everyone.
Course Curriculum Overview
I choose this course because I personally love psychology. There are around 15 faculty members and student around 50. Faculty gives attention to every student. Everyone here is a PhD with great knowledge and talent. The teaching method is exclusive including both practical as well as theoretical knowledge. Mid sems and tests and assignments are conducted before final exams covering the syllabus in time. Regular tests and assignments make us learn everything beforehand making it easy for students to cope.
Placement Experience
From 4th semester students can sit in placements. The highest package goes up to 5 lakhs only for deserving students having both pieces of knowledge about the subject and extra knowledge as well. Companies like Deloitte, Wipro, ey visit regularly.
Fees and Financial Aid
Fees are around 16500 for general category students. Scholarships are also available making kt friendly for students coming from weaker sections. Admission is also done via different quotas like sports, Eca, and minority categories. Preference is given to deserving students.
Campus Life
Fests for the psychology department is conducted along with other functions and competitions also. Every book required is available in the library and can be referred to. The psychology department of DRC has been recently renovated and has ACs in every room with good ventilation. Computers and laptops are also available along with apartus and tools needed for experiments. Mice and projector are also there in every class. There is a large number of societies in the college for every kind of activity. Social life is amazing due to location in north campus. Hudson lane and Kamla Nagar are walking distance best for food and shopping.
