Remarks

The admission procedure was merit-based of course. We filled out a common form for the University of Delhi, and after a period of 1-2 months when our board's result got declared I had to upload my worksheet, and after 2-3 months cutoffs were released. In the meanwhile, the admission staff of DU conducts many webinars to solve the doubts of queries. When the first cutoffs were released on the website of DU, we were given a period of two days before the admission process actually began, in that time we could look at the cutoffs of various colleges, and shortlist those where we can apply according to our cutoff, and later we had to fill the form for one. when the admission process actually started we had to fill the form of the college we wanted to apply from the website of DU only, and after that took a day for the college to verify the documents and accept my application, after the verification we can the application status changed and I paid the fees. We can change college in every cutoff.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

I opted for the degree of BA Program (Human Resource Management + Psychology). The BA Program department of my college is one of the best among all the departments of DU. I choose this combination because psychology was my first preference, and human resource with it is an amazing combination which opens of a wide variety of field for me. When I got admitted to the college, there were orientation programs and student-faculty meetings where we were made acquainted with the activities, department, council, exams, and a lot of many things. The faculty of my department is one of their kind, all the teachers are experienced and experts in their respective fields. They ensure to impart practical as well as theoretical knowledge, in the online mode as well. all the teachers are highly qualified and learned. For the evaluation, we have internals which include assignments as well as tests, and the end semester exams which are OBE. The exams are mostly easy and concept-based.

Internships Opportunities

4.5

Internships opportunities are a very great source of experience and knowledge before we go to fight in the real placement. The placement and career cell of my college provides internship opportunities in almost every field, and for the students of every department. I would definitely rate it 10/10, they not only provide the opportunities, but they also verify them so that students can completely rely on them. And before actually applying the cell provides a very brief and detailed format for making the perfect resume, it then provides the guidelines to apply, specify the working conditions, mention the stipend, and everything that is expected on their part. The companies include Aashman Foundation, Viden.io, PeaceX Organization, and many more. Some of the companies offer the internship for a year, and some of them are for a shorter period. The stipend is decent and the working hours are flexible where the college hours won't be disturbed. The roles include HR inter, Content writer, Analyst, etc.

Placement Experience

4

The college has a good record of placements. We have a career and placement cell called J.E.E.T, which works immensely for the benefit of students, by providing internships, and placements as well. Students can join the placement cell in any semester but then they work as the member of that club. And only in the last year, they become eligible for campus placements. Every year we have a 95% of placement rate out of the students who go for the placement. Many big and famous companies reach out to our students, some of them are- Athena, Swiflearn, Planet Spark, Wipro, Tech Mahindra, and many more. The package offered is very decent and the working conditions are so good. My plans after my graduation are not fixed yet, but most probably being a psychology student I would like to work under a good hospital as my internship, and then pursue my masters and further higher education.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees for my course are very minimal and genuine. It is 29,600 thousand per year. The fees for other courses remain more or less the same and a very slight change can be there depending upon the lab fees, and all. The college even provides many types of scholarships and fee waivers. The college would just require some documents to verify and then they feel provide scholarships. The college has a very lenient fee structure where people can every section of society can afford it. Apart from this the placement cell of the college remains very active even in the online mode, and they keep proving internship opportunities to the students. These opportunities are available for every student across all departments, some internships provide a stipend, some do not, but they all are great from experience and knowledge.

Campus Life

4.5

I literally have no experience with social life, because unfortunately, I haven't been to college in person yet. But yes the college clubs and societies are very agile and active even in online education. They keep on organizing various events, and activities all around the semester for the students to participate and gain better exposure. There are many clubs and societies in every field, and students can join them according to their interests and passion. The annual fest of the BA Program department is called SHRUTI, which a very big event, but it's on hold due to pandemics. The library of my college is magnificent and provides books on every topic under the sun. Also in the field of sports, our college has left no stone unturned, and our college is the only one in DU that has a registered swimming pool. Many outreach programs are run by students, such as Project Parwaaz(mental health club), IP Vaani, and many more. The infrastructure is very aesthetic, famous, and is a heritage site.

Other Applied Colleges

Mithibai College of Arts | Bachelor Of Arts

I didn't opt for this college because University of Delhi, and Mithibai was a backup option.

Placement Experience:

Placements are available in college, the drive is quite extensive, everyone is made aware of the choices and options and counselling is present too. It is from the third year, students are eligible to apply for placements. Companies and organisations take part such as Niti ayog, Times, Geostrata, Prajatantra foundation, etc. Those who desire usually work on their CVs, keep on doi internships and then get a placement. The packages are not that impressive to be honest.

The course is really very interesting. It keeps up with our expectations. Involves both practical and theoretical aspects to make sure that we are able to face the real world. Also, with the help of the guidance that we get from teachers we're able to ace both the aspects. The examinations also are based on applications, thus, helping us to enhance ourselves in all possibilities.

I'm from south India so I don't understand Hindi properly. But here mostly they teach in Hindi only and English is used very rarely.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course itself is prestigious and is mostly opted for by people who plan either on preparing for the Civil Services or those who want to pursue academia. The course structure is framed in a manner that you don't just simply study history there, but you ingrain a critical viewpoint of a young historian. The faculty of History Hons. has some of the best Professors in the University, although you will in any course at any college find some teachers below your expectations, you don't have to bear them for more than 1 or 2 semesters. Passing the exams is not very difficult, but yes scoring above average is. If you get a GPA ranging from 6 to 7, you've performed fine. Above that is considered a Very good performance in Hons. courses of Social sciences at Delhi University. there are semester exams every 5- 6 months
