Remarks

I applied for all du colleges but due to my stream change 2.5% were deducted from my total percentage due to which only few colleges were left in which I passed the required cut off I availed the OBC quota The only criteria considered for the admission in my program was percentage First after filling form for du they upload lists of cut off of each college and program and then you can select any college or program in which you have passed the cut off and want to get into. After that you have to go to the college for your admission before they release their next cut off list. There they will check your percentage of best four subjects and will also check your certificates provided by school or the certificates required if you have availed any quota after that they give you some time to pay the fee which is usually done online and then you just have to go to college on the orientation day.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

I wanted to give UPSC examination and thought this degree will be helpful There are enough teachers for each subject and Course Teachers in our course are highly qualified. They help students in every way they can, and they are approachable for all sorts of doubts that students may have. The college also has a counsellor. In our online classes, teachers have worked very hard to make the atmosphere similar to an offline class. We had exams per semester and then some class texts as required by the teachers. It is not difficult to pass in my program but the highest marks are usually between 8-9 CGPA it's difficult to score high marks.

Internships Opportunities

1.5

There were no internship opportunities provided by the college but we can get any internships we want by ourselves. Ther are many NGOs and companies that work in Delhi and they provide many opportunities for students to work for them as an intern and volunteer.

Placement Experience

1.5

In their final year Many companies visit our college for placements. There is a placement cell in the college taking care of all this. Many students get placed at the college. The college offers a lot of opportunities through various inter-department or inter-college fests that widen the thinking cope of students. Nearly 2/3rd of the students from our college got placed, and many of them got placed in prestigious companies like Delloite, EY, etc. The Average package is somewhat near 8 Lacs/pa. I plan to prepare for upsc examination

Fees and Financial Aid

There has been no hike in the fee since I have gotten admission. I pay yearly 18500 rupees for my college fee which should have been more low as it overpriced considering what other du colleges are charging for the same course and around 60p-700 as examination fee I haven't heard of any scholarship and job opportunities on campus. But they provide financial assistance to the students whose parents yearly income is low. I am sure they must be provided scholarships and jobs which I have just not heard about.

Campus Life

4.5

There are several fest conducted by different clubs that are run by students themselves according to the day or festivals. We have digital classrooms where we can also give presentations and our college also have a swimming pool and a gym which is not there in many du colleges. Our college building is really nice and maintained and we have a lot of space around our college which other du colleges lack We have a sports day where are the students of different courses participate and also have different teams for each sport and any student can join that sports club even if they are not that good but are interested to learn it. We also have a bug playground at the back of our college. There are many different clubs and social groups in our college which provide the students a chance to join any of them they want or are interested in it and it's a specialty of du colleges.

Placement Experience:

Placements are available in college, the drive is quite extensive, everyone is made aware of the choices and options and counselling is present too. It is from the third year, students are eligible to apply for placements. Companies and organisations take part such as Niti ayog, Times, Geostrata, Prajatantra foundation, etc. Those who desire usually work on their CVs, keep on doi internships and then get a placement. The packages are not that impressive to be honest.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course is really very interesting. It keeps up with our expectations. Involves both practical and theoretical aspects to make sure that we are able to face the real world. Also, with the help of the guidance that we get from teachers we're able to ace both the aspects. The examinations also are based on applications, thus, helping us to enhance ourselves in all possibilities.

I got a seat in Ramjas College. It is a north-campus college. The infrastructure is too good compared to the remaining colleges. The teaching also going well but I faced some language problems. I'm from south India so I don't understand Hindi properly. But here mostly they teach in Hindi only and English is used very rarely.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course itself is prestigious and is mostly opted for by people who plan either on preparing for the Civil Services or those who want to pursue academia. The course structure is framed in a manner that you don't just simply study history there, but you ingrain a critical viewpoint of a young historian. The faculty of History Hons. has some of the best Professors in the University, although you will in any course at any college find some teachers below your expectations, you don't have to bear them for more than 1 or 2 semesters. Passing the exams is not very difficult, but yes scoring above average is. If you get a GPA ranging from 6 to 7, you've performed fine. Above that is considered a Very good performance in Hons. courses of Social sciences at Delhi University. there are semester exams every 5- 6 months
