College life is good, faculty is good but placements are not good

The admission process was similar to the rest of the DU colleges! I didn't apply to any other college and directly applied to Mata Sundri College For Women! I got admission to the second cut-off list! I didn't avail any quota! I got admission on merit-based! In the second cut-off list, the admission criteria were 87% of the best 4 subjects! My total % of best subjects was 89.75% but due to additional subjects in my best 4 subjects, my 2.5% was deducted from my total % which was 87.25%! The admission process was okayish and the counseling day was good!

I opted for political science honors because I had an interest in this subject! The faculty of my subjects were very understanding and the teachers are very supportive! Every teacher had a Ph.D. degree in their subjects! They used to teach us in English as well as Hindi for Hindi medium students! We used to have 2 internal exams of 10 marks each before our external exam which was 75 marks and 5 marks for attendence! Total 100 marks for each semester and the passing marks were 45!

I didn't do any internships at my college! The placement cell and internship cell of the college is not good. It was good for the commerce department but I would say that we have to do internships by ourselves! Our seniors added us to a WhatsApp group for internships update! Rest the internship opportunities were not good

Placements are not provided in my department but from other departments people willing to do jobs get placements! Placements scope is very less! I will pursue my Master after completing my Graduation!

Since it's a government college so the fees were affordable! We have to pay once a year at the starting of the new year! Also for the people who can't afford the fees, they get scholarships on a merit-based also and on the basis of their income certificate! Internship opportunities with stipends have less scope

My college campus was nice! The college canteen was very big and everything was prepared with hygiene! Our annual fest was held in February 2020 before the outbreak of covid-19! We had our political science department fest also in the month of September in 2019! The Commerce Department also conducted a fest! My college has a gurudwara inside it and religious activities are held very often! Classes didn't have AC and infrastructure is not wow but if we compare it to other DU colleges so it was better! It had better classrooms and washrooms! The playground was also there! We had many societies like for debate, dance, music, theatre, etc!
