Remarks

I had applied to Daulat Ram college and got admission in the first Cutoff. I haven't availed any quota and I applied from the general category. I have chosen BA(Hons)Political Science and the expected cut off in the best four was 97percent where basically they gave you the option to choose any four subjects of your choice and then calculate the percentage whether it is matching 97 percent or not The whole process was online I filled the form and when cut-off was released I applied to Daulat Ram college and got admission there. But I don't remember any counseling that we attended.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

I have chosen this course as it is of course part of my future plan. The faculty is really amazing and I my main subject there are over 99 students and in GE class there are 64 students. Most of the teachers who taught me hold a doctorate degree in their respective fields and they have an amazing ways of teaching. They not only prepared us for exams but gives a bunch of extra knowledge which is surely gonna help in various competitive exams and sometimes they even take evening classes to complete the syllabus as because of the pandemic our semester was short. But one thing is for sure they are not going to leave when a penny thing in the syllabus. The exams were held on the date on which we were earlier informed and the exams were pretty easy and teachers taught even more than that in class. After learning so much and then looking at the question paper seems like its more than easy.

Internships Opportunities

4

As I am a Political science student I barely applied for the internship, though throughout the year one can get an internship. They will provide you professional certificates, beginners certificate, LOR and many more rewards Some interesting internships are graphic designing, content writing, fundraising, and so in. Some NGOs are youth empowerment, the education tree Sarkari school and sankalp, the education Tree, and many more.

Placement Experience

4

Anyone can sit for the placement from last semester. One just needs to have a strong CV, good communication skills, and a strong personality. Students rarely register themselves for placement after graduation. They are more focused on getting higher education. The top recruiting companies were paytm, bajaj, vipro, phonepay, justdial and mahindra and the best roles offered are in the field of finance and data handelling, research work and finance manager. The highest salary package usually offered is 12 LPA. The lowest salary package offered is 4 to 4.5 LPA. Students from BCOM honors get most of the good salary offers.

Fees and Financial Aid

The annual fees in college are quite affordable. Last year it was 15,500 and on this also you can get a scholarship. However, I haven't applied for any scholarship but once u get it u can easily access it. From time to time College offers a lot of internship opportunities with stipends between 5000 to 8000 Which could ensure your financial independence

Campus Life

4.5

College life is amazing at Delhi university. One can witness exams, fests, assignments, and elections.Elections are so much involving that one can't keep away herself from it The campus is really big, Wi-Fi installed, big lawn and big sports complex as well Fest takes place in the month of March called Manjhari lasts for 2 days. many celebrities come ,perform and make us dance ,sing and enjoy There are many societies also.. For ex dance society, music society, debating society ,civil society and many more To develop one's personality one needs to get involved in societies

Other Applied Colleges

Placement Experience:

Placements are available in college, the drive is quite extensive, everyone is made aware of the choices and options and counselling is present too. It is from the third year, students are eligible to apply for placements. Companies and organisations take part such as Niti ayog, Times, Geostrata, Prajatantra foundation, etc. Those who desire usually work on their CVs, keep on doi internships and then get a placement. The packages are not that impressive to be honest.

The course is really very interesting. It keeps up with our expectations. Involves both practical and theoretical aspects to make sure that we are able to face the real world. Also, with the help of the guidance that we get from teachers we're able to ace both the aspects. The examinations also are based on applications, thus, helping us to enhance ourselves in all possibilities.

I got a seat in Ramjas College. It is a north-campus college. The infrastructure is too good compared to the remaining colleges. The teaching also going well but I faced some language problems. I'm from south India so I don't understand Hindi properly. But here mostly they teach in Hindi only and English is used very rarely.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course itself is prestigious and is mostly opted for by people who plan either on preparing for the Civil Services or those who want to pursue academia. The course structure is framed in a manner that you don't just simply study history there, but you ingrain a critical viewpoint of a young historian. The faculty of History Hons. has some of the best Professors in the University, although you will in any course at any college find some teachers below your expectations, you don't have to bear them for more than 1 or 2 semesters. Passing the exams is not very difficult, but yes scoring above average is. If you get a GPA ranging from 6 to 7, you've performed fine. Above that is considered a Very good performance in Hons. courses of Social sciences at Delhi University. there are semester exams every 5- 6 months
