Remarks

I did not opt for any other college because I had 92% in my 12th but the course I opted for had the minimum cut-off of 96% so I had no other option but to go to this college because this was the only college in Delhi University which offered political science honors at 92% in the second cut off list. At first, I didn't like the college because I always wanted to go to the North campus but due to my percentage, I couldn't also I didn't like my college campus because it was too small but when I started my college journey I started liking it because, the teachers and the staff were really good and the best quality of my college is that the lecturers actually do spoon-feed to the students, they help their students in every way possible.

Course Curriculum Overview

5

I want to go into the public sector( government job) and to make my base strong in that sector I chose political science honors. I think our college faculty is really nice and even after having 80-100 students in a class they give attention to almost everyone and help out everyone from providing notes to taking extra classes when students ask and also providing extra time after college to make students understand their subject. Our College has one external and one internal in a semester and when we had our classes offline they used to take practice tests so that we could prepare for an internal and external after completing Half the syllabus of the semester. It was not difficult to pass because our teachers provided us with every material to study.

Internships Opportunities

1.5

Under our course, there is no placement from campus as after this course we have to go for the Masters. But we are provided with numerous internships during her college life, which could make a difference in our CVs later.

Fees and Financial Aid

My fee is 18000 a year. I didn't go for any quota but there are many as my college is a Sikh minority college. I think it is affordable for most of the people if we compare to the other colleges which are private and take one or one and a half lakh fees per year.

Campus Life

3.5

The infrastructure of our college is very good there is a very big library available for everyone even the classrooms are very big the washrooms are always clean the only problem I think is the campus is really small of my college but we have a lot of clubs in our college like The dance club called Kaya and the cultural club, the art club, the debating club and many more and we have different singers performing in every fest conducted at our college also we have extracurricular activities at our college including band and NCC. Many social groups or NGOs Arun bye the students like furry tales for stray animals. Even our college conducts MUNs every month.

The course curriculum is a bit too theoretical and less practical. The exams in the college takes places every month which are seasonals and are for internal marking and then we have semester exams in every 6 months which accounts for the external marking.

Placement Experience:

Placements are available in college, the drive is quite extensive, everyone is made aware of the choices and options and counselling is present too. It is from the third year, students are eligible to apply for placements. Companies and organisations take part such as Niti ayog, Times, Geostrata, Prajatantra foundation, etc. Those who desire usually work on their CVs, keep on doi internships and then get a placement. The packages are not that impressive to be honest.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course is really very interesting. It keeps up with our expectations. Involves both practical and theoretical aspects to make sure that we are able to face the real world. Also, with the help of the guidance that we get from teachers we're able to ace both the aspects. The examinations also are based on applications, thus, helping us to enhance ourselves in all possibilities.

The course offers many things for students interms of their further academic pursuits or any placement they are looking for. Talking about the areas of improvement and teaching methods there are none. The exams of the respective subject are to happen. They take test 1 , test 2 and there is final exams.

I got a seat in Ramjas College. It is a north-campus college. The infrastructure is too good compared to the remaining colleges. The teaching also going well but I faced some language problems. I'm from south India so I don't understand Hindi properly. But here mostly they teach in Hindi only and English is used very rarely.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course itself is prestigious and is mostly opted for by people who plan either on preparing for the Civil Services or those who want to pursue academia. The course structure is framed in a manner that you don't just simply study history there, but you ingrain a critical viewpoint of a young historian. The faculty of History Hons. has some of the best Professors in the University, although you will in any course at any college find some teachers below your expectations, you don't have to bear them for more than 1 or 2 semesters. Passing the exams is not very difficult, but yes scoring above average is. If you get a GPA ranging from 6 to 7, you've performed fine. Above that is considered a Very good performance in Hons. courses of Social sciences at Delhi University. there are semester exams every 5- 6 months
