Remarks

Destiny got me my dream college. IPCW was in the way leading to my school . I used to look, and ask my father to take me to this place. My father used to reply' You can go here only as a student and for this you'll need to pass your school with flying colors.' when I got my 12th result I was adamant that I will get IPCW. And, I did. I chose IPCW over Ramjas, Daulat ram and many other north campus colleges. Delhi University admission process can be accentric sometimes. First cut off made me loose all the hopes and in second cutoff I got Satyawati College, I was not satisfied, sad, worried. However, in the fourth cutoff I got IPCW. Voila!! I was the happiest. I took admission, the Teacher in Charge was so warm that I vividly remember that I was very nervous talking to her, and I said 'that this is my dream college, I lost hope that I will ever get it' but, she replied, " its okay, you have got admission, relax and welcome to IPCW". I started going to college, loved every bit of it.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

After my 12th, i had two options in my mind, one was BA( hons )English and the other was BMMMC, but could not get admission in BMMMC as the admission process was entrance based and had limited seats. however, i got english hons, life was sorted, dream college, dream course and to top that i got MMMC as my GEC. so, my major is in english and minor in MMMC. Thequalification of the faculty of English department was almost PHD. some of them, had JRF in their NET, mostly were from JNU. to conclude the faculty was efficient in all the ways. the lectures were intellectually stimulating, liberating. We talked about anything and everything. We even had to give feedback to the teachers towards the end of the semester, we had to rate them individually , give suggestion to teachers. So, there was no way we had to deal with inefficient faculty. We used to have mentor mentee meeting, where the assigned mentor would try to solve the problems of mentees.

Internships Opportunities

2

It doesn't provide internships. Particularly, talking about my course, I didn't get any intership opportunities from the college. But, one can apply for internships individually through various online platforms like Internshala etcetera .

Placement Experience

3

I didn't applied for campus placement. However, many of my friends did, but they didn't get placed. So, I don't know much about it. As I wanted to go for masters, job was not in my mind back then. I wanted to pursue Teaching, and have a good knowledge in my subject.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees was quite feasible, it was 19100 per year. And there was the facility of getting financial assistance from the college as well if you belong to unstable finacial family. However, many other north campus Colleges had lower fees than IPCW. But, IPCW had a lot of facilities, we had, gym, swimming pool, basketball court, badminton court, dance room, two auditoriums, one conference room, one audio visual room and much more.

Campus Life

3

IPCW ensures availability of facilities and emenities required for overall growth of the students. The library is a two storey building equipped with elevator, fully air conditioned, not equipped with every book in the world but mostly course books are available. The only thing i didn't like in IPCW was classrooms the old block classrooms are small and dingy and are very hot in summers and gets suffocating sometimes. However the new block classes are spacious and are ventilated. we used to have sports period on wednesdays in our First year of the college, we used to have sports day every year. our College Fest Shruti is not one of the best fests we have, like other North campus colleges Fests. We have Diwali Mela, Prakriti ( on basant Panchmi ) our extra curricular societies like Abhivyakti,Afroza,Alaap,Croydon,Eco club, English Debating Society, Hindi editorial society, La Cadenza, Mridang, Oghma, NCC,NSS,Erudite, Simulacra and so on are quite active

The course curriculum is a bit too theoretical and less practical. The exams in the college takes places every month which are seasonals and are for internal marking and then we have semester exams in every 6 months which accounts for the external marking.

Placement Experience:

Placements are available in college, the drive is quite extensive, everyone is made aware of the choices and options and counselling is present too. It is from the third year, students are eligible to apply for placements. Companies and organisations take part such as Niti ayog, Times, Geostrata, Prajatantra foundation, etc. Those who desire usually work on their CVs, keep on doi internships and then get a placement. The packages are not that impressive to be honest.

The course is really very interesting. It keeps up with our expectations. Involves both practical and theoretical aspects to make sure that we are able to face the real world. Also, with the help of the guidance that we get from teachers we're able to ace both the aspects. The examinations also are based on applications, thus, helping us to enhance ourselves in all possibilities.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I got a seat in Ramjas College. It is a north-campus college. The infrastructure is too good compared to the remaining colleges. The teaching also going well but I faced some language problems. I'm from south India so I don't understand Hindi properly. But here mostly they teach in Hindi only and English is used very rarely.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course itself is prestigious and is mostly opted for by people who plan either on preparing for the Civil Services or those who want to pursue academia. The course structure is framed in a manner that you don't just simply study history there, but you ingrain a critical viewpoint of a young historian. The faculty of History Hons. has some of the best Professors in the University, although you will in any course at any college find some teachers below your expectations, you don't have to bear them for more than 1 or 2 semesters. Passing the exams is not very difficult, but yes scoring above average is. If you get a GPA ranging from 6 to 7, you've performed fine. Above that is considered a Very good performance in Hons. courses of Social sciences at Delhi University. there are semester exams every 5- 6 months
