Remarks
You first need to get a good rank in jee main after you need to sit for josaa/csab counselling. If your rank is below cutoff you will be selected. See previous years cut off for better counselling. If you have any quota then it will be a little easier to get a chance in nit Durgapur.
Course Curriculum Overview
We have exams every month online but I think it will be less when colleges reopen and classes will happen offline. You need to study topics briefly because some professors give questions based on your role no. Our teachers are extremely qualified. Almost every teacher is PhD holder. So their knowledge is so high. But not every professor is good at teaching. Some are good some are moderate.
Internships Opportunities
Here you can get many internship opportunities. In 2 nd year, we get two internships from college. In 3 rd year, many tech giants like Microsoft, Amazon and many more come to our campus for an internship opportunity. Here also we have a programme called BRICS which help students to do an internship in foreign countries which is also great.
Placement Experience
Our branch average package is 8.25 LPA in 2021. For cse it's 16.86 LPA. Overall average package is 8.5 LPA. Overall highest package is 44 LPA. Our branch highest package is around 12 LPA. Fees and Financial Aid
You need to pay around 8 lakhs rupees including tuition, hostel and mess fees for general students and family income greater than 5 lakhs/year. But if your annual family income is less than 5 lakhs then you need to pay only 1/3 of the whole tuition fees and if your annual family income is less than 1 lakh rupees then you need not pay any tuition fees. Many scholarship opportunities are also from state and central government.
Campus Life
AAROHAN, 2nd largest annual tech management fest in eastern India is organised by our college. This fest is great we wait for the whole year for this fest. All types of sports facility available in our college so you can pursue your favourite sports here. Here also you can get one of the largest libraries. Now in pandemic college also provide us with an online library. Here also all types of clubs present whatever you think. We have dance, music, coding, entrepreneurship, robotics, nature all types of clubs.
Hostel Facilities
I didn't visit the hostel till now due to a pandemic. I heard from our senior that 1st year hostel is extremely good but the hostel from the second year is not that good. One beautiful hostel is under construction for 2nd, 3rd, 4th year students so I think from 2nd year also hostel will be beautiful in future.
