Remarks
Based on my jee mains rank I got this college in the 6th round of Josaa counselling. I scored about 97 percentile in my jee exam. Since I don't avail any quota and my jee mains rank was also not so good that I could expect a very good branch in the top NIT's but then I finally landed in NIT Durgapur which is among the top 10 NIT's of India with a decent branch. The admission process was quite simple as we just needed to lock the allotted college after the Josaa rounds after which I got a bonafide certificate and admission certificate through the email with the semester registration details written in it. Overall a student from the general category with 96 to 100 percentile can definitely expect to get into this college. The above details that I provided are of online counselling done during the lockdowns in 2020.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course curriculum is too good, it's not heavy like in some other colleges, the main focus of this college is how to learn practically intend of more theories. All faculty members are excellent, all are PhD holders & well knowledgeable. The curriculum is well defined which makes an interactive way of dealing with many things.

There are a lot of companies like Microsoft, Capgemini, TATA Steel, NITI ayog, and others that offer internships through the summer-winter internship programs. Besides, students can avail internships through external sites also like Internshala and LinkedIn.
Placement Experience
Placement offers by this college is totally good which makes a good ranking of this college .listed as 9th among all 32 Nits & at 41st among all IITs & Nits. Many internships offered by this college make a better experience for placement. Percentage-wise placement of the college is approx 81% placed. The highest package of 2019 is 32 LPA. It's also good for PhDs so many students go for higher studies or PhD.

Full payable if family income is more than 5 lakhs.
Campus Life
Campus Life & infrastructure is Very very excellent. Good environment, healthy greenery. Annual fest, tech fest & many events are organized by every club in every year. The biggest annual tech fest name Aarohan is most popular in eastern India. Many clubs such as CCA, Quizinc, MNTC, Radio Nitroz, Debating society, EDC, Strokes, Dance & Music Club. All of are above clubs organize unique events every year. Also better sports, extracurricular activities & labs.
