The factors that made me choose NIT durgapur was its 9th rank in overall NITs in 2019.The college has good Infrastructure. New hostels have large spaces alongwith hygienic and clean washrooms. Labs are well equipped.The library of nit Durgapur is a center of attraction for everyone. It is 3 storeyed building with digital classrooms. It has a collection of 1 L books. You can roam almost anywhere anytime No questions and do all your little adventures you can think of.There are various types of clubs- Music Club, Dance Club, Literary Circle, CCA, MNTC, Spic Macay etc. You can join in more than one club. Placements for CSE/IT is great. It's above 95 percent(excluding mass recruiters). Even the summer internships are great, particularly for CSE/IT and ECE, EE branches.Big tech giants like Microsoft,Amazon,JP Morgan,Flipkart,Goldman Sachs etc visits campus for hiring.Computer science related stream has highest placement percentage with highest packages(39-43lpa).

As of 2019, the annual intake for the B. Tech. programs were over 1000, with a student-faculty ratio of 25:1.The quality of teaching is very good. The professors are knowledgeable. Curriculum gets updated. Every branch gets satisfactory facilities and knowledge. Our professors are very patient that they can't leave any student unanswered. In online, there were two mid exams CA1 and CA2 and an end semester. CA1 had conducted for 15 marks per subject and CA2 for 25 marks per subject. Hence you get 40 marks through mid exams and end semester exam will be conducted for 60 marks. The exams were not much difficult to pass.Study a maximum of two weeks before the exams to get good pointers. So you can assume that the exams are not tough but instead tricky.

I have been offered an internship opportunity at Microsoft as a Software Engineering intern in the summer of '22, through the on-campus internship drive at the National Institute of Technology Durgapur.

In NIT Durgapur placement 2020, a record number of 116 companies came up for recruitment with 71.92% placement percentage.NIT Durgapur Placement 2020 saw the maximum recruitment in IT Engineering followed by Chemical Engineering and Computer Science Engineering (CSE). Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE) recorded 77.20% placement percentage. Bio-Technology (BT) Engineering saw a decline in placement percentage this season with 42.08%.

Aarohan is the Annual Techno-Management fest of NIT Durgapur, the 2nd Largest of its kind in the whole of eastern India. conducted in the month of April.With more than 40 events covering all genres of technology and management, Aarohan brings some of the best solutions for mankind to the fore. Numerous workshops and lectures are organised, thus introducing the students to new vistas in the field of technology.The library apart from housing numerous books, is fully air-conditioned so that you can study comfortably.The classrooms are not air conditioned but there are some seminar rooms which are air-conditioned.There are various types of clubs- Music Club, Dance Club, Literary Circle, CCA, MNTC, Spic Macay etc. You can join in more than one club.

The fees of this college are not much high, its similar like other NIT college. The semester fees have divided into three-part by the annual income of your family if your family income is less than 1lakh then your tuition fee is 6850 and for more than 1lakh and less than 5 lakh, your tuition fee is 15183 and if your fam income is more then 5 lakhs then you will give 31850 tuition fees in online mode. NIT Durgapur offers a total of 23 Student Full Freeship Scholarship Scheme for Indian students having less annual family income.It also offers several scholarship schemes for its needy and meritorious students on the basis of their scores/merits in the last qualifying examination or entrances.

The college has good infrastructure and the best facilities. NIT has a central play field named The Oval, where all major tournaments and matches are played also accommodates a standard athletic track. There is one more ground called The Lords adjacent to the hostels, all major non sports activities as well as sports activities are organized in regular manner.Available Facilities: Badminton Court|Basketball Court|Cricket Ground|Football Ground|Tennis Court|Volleyball Court. The campus has classrooms, labs and library with Wi-Fi facility.The library has ACs with lots of seating space available, high-speed Wi-Fi and around 2 Lacs books. Labs are well-equipped with instruments, and there are expert teachers to instruct students.

Hostel facilities are very fine, as there is all type of basic facilities that are required. There used to be no Power cutoff, Wifi down the problem, Water problem, all are okay. But sometimes, whenever they are going to be unavailable for the next few days the campus authorities will inform you prior only and give you backups also.In first three years students share a room but in the 4th year everyone has a separate room. Mess is a matter of concern, as all meals of each and every Mess is just a Mess. Mess food is ok not that good.

The admission process of NIT durgapur is done through JEE Main counselling conducted by Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA). Candidates shortlisted for the counselling process on the basis of merit list are required to register online in order to participate in the process. Candidates have to fill their choices of institutes during the choice filling process. After which, candidates are finally allotted seats as per their ranks, locked choices and availability of seats. There is no other process for the admission in nit durgapur.
