Remarks
I also wanted to be a part of NIT Durgapur because its CSE program is well-known, and few universities in India offer CSE as a flagship course. NIT Durgapur is the first institution in Eastern India to be designated as the Lead Institute under the Government of India's Technical Education Quality Improvement Program (TEQIP), which is supported by the World Bank. I need to work hard in my academics and for a good rank in JEE so that I can choose the college of my choice and match the NIT Durgapur cutoff list.
Course Curriculum Overview
The curriculum is excellent, and we must complete numerous homework and projects to keep up with it. The curriculum aids us in quickly grasping the coding language as well as the significance of software programming in today's technological world. There is a good combination of theory, assignments, and case studies so that we can fully comprehend each idea. The college's faculty is excellent and pleasant. The college professors are all Ph.D. holders who are specialists in their fields. The faculty also has extensive research experience, which is beneficial to us.
Internships Opportunities
The internship is extremely significant for each of us since it allows us to get valuable professional experience. After finishing the first year of our program, we are qualified for the internship and must register with the placement committee to participate in the college internship program.
Placement Experience
The college placement rate is excellent. The CSE program at the college has a strong placement rate. The college placement committee is quite competent, and each member of the committee appropriately guides us through the placement round, ensuring that every student who participates is placed. Our batch's maximum package was 29 LPA, while the average package was roughly 9.50 LPA. For the placement drive, firms such as Wipro, TCS, IBM, Amazon, Axis Bank, Microsoft, Capgemini, Bajaj Auto, Larsen & Toubro, Cognizant, and others came to our campus.
Fees and Financial Aid
In terms of college fees, the return on investment is excellent. Merit Cum Means Scholarship Schemes are used by the college to award merit-based scholarships. Apart from the merit scholarships college also offer more than 10 other scholarship schemes to provide better education to the needy.
Campus Life
The atmosphere at the campus is really welcoming and active. Rectacssy is the college yearly fest that we all look forward to because it is East India's second-largest annual fest. We can participate in NCC events through the college's NCC club. Many best-selling foreign writers are housed in the college library, and the classrooms are large, roomy, and well-ventilated. The college's infrastructure is in good shape.
Hostel Facilities
The rooms can be shared in three ways: triple, double, or single. The rooms are spacious and well-ventilated. The hostel is immaculately kept. The hostel wardens and staff work tirelessly to maintain the hostel's decorum. The food in the hostel mess is nice and flavorful. The meal is prepared in a sanitary environment. Water and electricity are available at all times at the hostel. A high-speed WiFi network is available on the hostel campus.
