Remarks

The admission process to this college is quite easy and smooth. The candidate just needs to apply for the application form released on the DU website and wait for the cutoffs when the cut-offs are released the candidate can match their aggregate percentage with the cutoff marks of this particular college and can get admission to this college. The eligibility of the course is that of the percentage of marks the DU website gives in the form of an aggregate percentage on the portal itself, the application form is released on the DU website itself with the application dates. The application fee is around 250 rupees.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

Political science is basically a study of society and the policies taken up by different governments. I choose this course just to keep me updated about the happenings done around the world in the current scenario and the perspectives behind the scenarios in the world. It also makes me aware of the thinkers of past thought and how it was challenged by different thinkers. The faculty of my college is knowledgeable and they have immense knowledge about the subject matter and then not only teach us from the book but also give a practical knowledge about the course. The faculty and student ratio is 5 teachers to 60 students. The exams are held after every 6 months when the semester ends and the teachers also take up class tests and viva.

Internships Opportunities

4.5

The placement cell name of Indraprastha college is Jeet and it offers different internships all through the year students from any semester and any year can apply for that by giving their resume the company will call the candidate if the resume gets selected by the company. The different companies are Deloitte, Accenture, Dell, Netflix, etc. Different roles offered are HR manager of a particular department, content writer, graphic designer et cetera and the stipend goes to 10000 per annum which is the highest and the average goes to 5000 per annum. There are different projects organized by the company and it is also enjoyed by the students.

Placement Experience

3.5

The placement of this college is very nice and different companies come to this college to higher knowledgeable and practical students who are not only good at Academy but also extracurricular happening and good. Students from all semesters can sit for internships but for placements, only 3rd years who are in the six-semester are eligible for this. Different companies coming to the college are delicate, Netflix, unicorn art, NGOs, etc. The highest package is 10 lakhs per annum and the average package is around 6 lacs per annum. Different profiles offered our graphic designing, event management, content writing, etc percentage of students getting placed is around 60% and the other remaining go for higher studies, and my plan is similar to that to go for higher studies.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee structure of this college is minimal which accounts for 24000 per year. But, the main problem is that 24000 per year is the maximum of all the due colleges but it is acceptable because of faculty is Supreme and it is also a semi-private college. Scholarship kinds of things do not come to college but a concession of the fees is done and financial assistance is also given to the college students if they pass the eligibility criteria. The college also gives a placement with a stipend of 600000 per annum.

Campus Life

4.5

Life at the campus is very alluring and people enjoy being at the college. The annual fest of my college is known as shruti which is celebrated every year with extreme joy and happiness. Different departments and societies are part of this fest. Since the college is Semi-private the classrooms are well equipped with projectors and some classrooms even have AC. This college is also animal friendly because it has peacocks dogs cats and the college also keeps the animal well maintained with signifies the importance of animals the college also organization different sports festival a year to encourage students to get into sports and explore different categories and it also has different immunities in sports. The college also gives opportunities for extracurricular activities on the campus which helps students to get into different societies like debating society quizzing society dance societies singing society dRama society.

The course curriculum is a bit too theoretical and less practical. The exams in the college takes places every month which are seasonals and are for internal marking and then we have semester exams in every 6 months which accounts for the external marking.

Placements are available in college, the drive is quite extensive, everyone is made aware of the choices and options and counselling is present too. It is from the third year, students are eligible to apply for placements. Companies and organisations take part such as Niti ayog, Times, Geostrata, Prajatantra foundation, etc. Those who desire usually work on their CVs, keep on doi internships and then get a placement. The packages are not that impressive to be honest.

The course is really very interesting. It keeps up with our expectations. Involves both practical and theoretical aspects to make sure that we are able to face the real world. Also, with the help of the guidance that we get from teachers we're able to ace both the aspects. The examinations also are based on applications, thus, helping us to enhance ourselves in all possibilities.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course itself is prestigious and is mostly opted for by people who plan either on preparing for the Civil Services or those who want to pursue academia. The course structure is framed in a manner that you don't just simply study history there, but you ingrain a critical viewpoint of a young historian. The faculty of History Hons. has some of the best Professors in the University, although you will in any course at any college find some teachers below your expectations, you don't have to bear them for more than 1 or 2 semesters. Passing the exams is not very difficult, but yes scoring above average is. If you get a GPA ranging from 6 to 7, you've performed fine. Above that is considered a Very good performance in Hons. courses of Social sciences at Delhi University. there are semester exams every 5- 6 months
