Course Curriculum Overview

4

I haven't chosen the course to study as such but honestly, I couldn't get admission to any other better course at that point I want to study at du so I took admission. Faculty of my college in my course is all experienced holding PhD degrees. They are really cooperative in nature. Here student and teacher share a great bond together in class by discussing any problem they face The study method of understanding philosophy is a great effect by discussing, debating and keeping one's point of view and also relating theories with real-life events. The teaching methods are pretty different in terms of philosophy as it is a practical subject which helps us in daily life. Exams are held in the same manner as in other courses. There is a semester system at DU. Exams are not that difficult in nature. We could pass the exams by studying one night before too.

Internships Opportunities

3.5

I don't know more about internship companies as I want to go for higher studies. But every detailed information is available on the website itself. Mostly the stipend is given in intership that are paid up to 6k.

Placement Experience

3

From the first year onwards we are eligible for internship opportunities by internship cell. During our 6th sem, we are eligible for job interviews. The placement cell is working hard to review their work in a well-mannered form but still, they lag in bringing big companies to college for on-campus placement drives. Companies like byjus, Genpact, etc. came for placements and they offer full-time jobs for 4-6 lacs package varying from the post they offer. The highest package could go up to 7-8 lacs and on average it's 2 lacs. They offered a various range of profiles to get into. The percentage should be more than 65% at least to get the final placement done smoothly. Plans for graduation are going for higher students in this subject only who want to have a PhD degree.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee structure of my college is pretty high that also I don't know why. Our college doesn't even have that updated infrastructure as there should be according to their fees. Mata sundri college is a college of the Sikh community so there are a lot of seats reserved for Sikh students. Other than this there is a fee concession process every year for financial aid to students. Scholarships are only from the central cell. There is no specific scholarship from the college. There is a lot of placement in our college for Bcom Hons. But for my course, there is a little bit of job scope. One can go for content writing, HR profile, government exams, for masters in this subject and others too.

Campus Life

3.5

The college campus is really small or we can say there is no campus area at all. Being a college at a really good place near Connaught place there is High scope of not having enough space. Fest:- There are fests in our college but mostly these are department-wise. Every department conducts its own fest in a particular season. Mostly in the month of January and February, they are conducted and some are conducted in the month of July and August. There is ample space in Library. Most of the books and journals are available there. If we find any difficulty in finding any book we can contact to librarian they can help us to find one. Classrooms are all equipped with wooden tables and chairs, with fans and lights ( no A.C. ). Some classrooms do have projectors too. Our college has NCC and NSS clubs too. There is a sports ground too but that is at a distance of 100 meters away from the college. Kyra the hip-hop dance society, Pandey dramatics society, virsa the giddha society, etc we do have many of them.

Admission

During my time of admission, I fortunately or unfortunately came across the process of online admission let me give you the reason why fortunately because I heard about the admission process during offline college we need to come to college and need to stand in long queues with all documents and being an outstation student it's very difficult for me to do this thus, fortunately, I came across online admission process and I got admission on merit basis so there was no entrance exam for me. But as I told you unfortunately too I want you to know the process of online admission is really mentally tiring. One will be exhausted after waiting for documents to submit and verify. Course - I'm currently studying B. A philosophy hon. Eligibility criteria are very simple you can find them on the official du website. Bonus point:- anyone from any stream background is able to take admission in B. A philosophy Hons I hadn't availed any reservations but every detail you can find on the website itself.

Placement Experience:

Placements are available in college, the drive is quite extensive, everyone is made aware of the choices and options and counselling is present too. It is from the third year, students are eligible to apply for placements. Companies and organisations take part such as Niti ayog, Times, Geostrata, Prajatantra foundation, etc. Those who desire usually work on their CVs, keep on doi internships and then get a placement. The packages are not that impressive to be honest.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course is really very interesting. It keeps up with our expectations. Involves both practical and theoretical aspects to make sure that we are able to face the real world. Also, with the help of the guidance that we get from teachers we're able to ace both the aspects. The examinations also are based on applications, thus, helping us to enhance ourselves in all possibilities.

I got a seat in Ramjas College. It is a north-campus college. The infrastructure is too good compared to the remaining colleges. The teaching also going well but I faced some language problems. I'm from south India so I don't understand Hindi properly. But here mostly they teach in Hindi only and English is used very rarely.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course itself is prestigious and is mostly opted for by people who plan either on preparing for the Civil Services or those who want to pursue academia. The course structure is framed in a manner that you don't just simply study history there, but you ingrain a critical viewpoint of a young historian. The faculty of History Hons. has some of the best Professors in the University, although you will in any course at any college find some teachers below your expectations, you don't have to bear them for more than 1 or 2 semesters. Passing the exams is not very difficult, but yes scoring above average is. If you get a GPA ranging from 6 to 7, you've performed fine. Above that is considered a Very good performance in Hons. courses of Social sciences at Delhi University. there are semester exams every 5- 6 months
