Course Curriculum Overview
Regarding course curriculum, NIT Durgapur has a total of 7 engineering courses and many other courses. I have been admitted to the Department of Metallurgical and Materials Engineering. The branch is a little tough as we have studied the extraction of various metals and also many thermodynamic properties of the metal.
Internships Opportunities
Internship opportunities are quite good in our college. Almost all the big companies come for internships. The core branches also get a good Internship opportunity. The stipend of the Internship is also very good.
Placement Experience
The placement percentage of our college is quite good. This year we had around 85% placement. The core branches got good placement. The average package of cse is 21 lakh and the overall average package is 13 lakh.
Fees and Financial Aid
The year-long fee for NIT Durgapur is 1.6 lakh in the general category and in another category it is different. The students who have the income certificate have their tuition fees reduced. And in other categories, tuition fees get reduced.
Campus Life
Campus life is pretty good. There is full of restrictions on the campus for 1st year students. In 2nd year we don't have that much of restrictions but in in 2nd year, we have a hostel in time around 11:30.
Hostel Facilities
The hostel facilities are pretty good. The food is average but the toilet facilities are quite good. The rooms are also very nice. There is an international Hostels is also present in our campus. The hostel is clean and good.
Admission
To get admission to NIT Durgapur you have to first crack JEE MAINS with a minimum percentile of 94 then you can easily get admission in the general category and for OBC it's around 91 percentile and varies differently for the other categories.
