Course Curriculum Overview
Actually, I am opting for mechanical engineering. I opted for this course cause I have an interest in physics. The faculty-student ratio of our department is 6:1. All faculties have Ph.D.s from top IITs and NITs. Exams are so tough.
Internships Opportunities
Many companies come here for an internship. They take students for many roles like software developer, software engineer, design engineer, and many others. There are many projects for which students work like building a webpage, and backend development.
Placement Experience
From 3rd semester students are allowed for internship. Most of the companies come for placement. Like Amazon, Microsoft, JPMorgan, Atlassian, Wells Fargo. The highest package is 72LPA. And the average is 12LPA. The percentage of students from my department is 84%. My plan after my degree is to do higher study.
Fees and Financial Aid
There is no such price hike in the fee but the fee is okay. Not so much not less. There is a scholarship such as NSP. There is an internship, the college has a placement cell for placement and an internship. So there are on-campus jobs with stipends.
Campus Life
The Annual tech is AAROHAN. And the annual cultural fest is RECSTACY. There are also other fests like RECRAVE, ESUMMIT others. There are 2 fields (football grounds). There are 27 clubs in the NIT DGP. The library is large, we can borrow books from the library using our library card.
Hostel Facilities
Hostels are so good for the first year. There are a total of 14 halls. In between most of the halls are well maintained. Meals are good most of the days. But someday they provide bad food also. Hostels are pretty much affordable.
Admission
The exam process was tough. To enter NIT you have to clear the JEE MAINS exam. First, you have to clear the JEE main. Then there will be a counseling process through JOSAA. According to your rank, it will be decided whether you will get a course or not. There are benefits to reservation. With a lower rank and a reservation, you will get a dept.
