What Students Say
Likes
- The campus, the infrastructure of classrooms, faculty members, placements are something which I like the most
- Club culture and the students who run the club. You learn how to socialize and manage a group of people.
- Academics as a whole, our college never sacrifices learning as a whole, every concept is well taught.
Dislikes
- Only thing I dislike is sometimes the academic pressure seems quite a lot.
Course Curriculum Overview
My family has a history of having metallurgy and chemical engineering graduates, and I loved chemistry as well, hence I went for my branch. We have 15 faculty members and each batch contains about 70 students. Our faculty is extremely talented and qualified, with multiple professors included in the top 1% of professors worldwide. Each semester is divided into a mid-sem, occurring at the halfway point of the semester, and an endsem at the very last. Exams are extremely scheduled and we receive the schedule at the beginning of the year itself in the academic calendar. Exams are quite tough and require proper knowledge and sincerity.
Internships Opportunities
Internships are available from the 5th semester onwards. Companies like Microsoft, Adobe, IBM, Pwc, Texas Instruments, and many more visit the college for competent interns. Many receive PPOs and recommendations for the future. The stipend varies from company to company.
Placement Experience
Students are eligible for placements from the 7th semester onwards. Leading tech brands like Google, Amazon, Microsoft, IBM, Samsung, core companies like Hindustan Petroleum, TATA steel, Tata Metalics, and many more companies come every year. The highest package last year was 80lpa and the average package was about 13.5lpa. Almost 90% of students got placements including all branches. I want to pursue an MBA after completing my degree, but I will take campus placement for the job experience.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fee for one semester is 78, 800. Scholarships are readily available for all the deserving meritorious candidates and for the candidates belonging to weaker sections. Many scholarships are available for female students as well. Three banks are present in the campus itself, including one SBI bank to provide financial assistance and bank loans for those who require them. Campus placements are pretty good with an average package of 13.5lpa last year. Our branch had an outstanding 100% placement as well, with avg pkg of 10lpa.
Campus Life
There are numerous clubs, as many as 20 on campus including art, photography, music, graphic design, dance, coding, cultural, and many more clubs. We have a vibrant and supportive club culture. Two main fests, AAROHAN, the annual tech fest, and RECSTACY, the annual cultural fest are held every year and they are a treat to enjoy. We have beautiful grounds and sports facilities like gyms and activity centers, so anyone interested in any sport is welcome. Inter NIT will also be played on our campus this year. Every club is run by the students.
Admission
I got admission by clearing and excelling at JEE Mains. Application forms are released every year and exams take place twice in one academic year. I did not avail of any reservation benefits. The admission process was smooth, totally online, and hassle-free.
