Course Curriculum Overview
I was fond of chemistry and physics so I liked this course because my father is also a chemical engineer and currently working under the Power Development Company under the state government. Currently the faculty: student ratio is 16:75 The teachers are exceptionally talented and teach well. But not everyone teaches well. There are some teachers whose words will remain forever while there are some teachers who try their best to understand the topic but unfortunately, I (including my friends) fail to understand.
Placement Experience
After the 3rd Year I mean the 5th or 6th semester the students are eligible for placement or internship. There are many companies like BHEL, Haldia petrochemicals, PWC, Vedanta, and HP gas visiting to recruit. As per my source, the highest package for chemical engineering is 14 lpa. An average of 80 per cent of the students are placed.
Fees and Financial Aid
Basically the fees for general candidates for 1st year is 78300×2(For 1st & 2ndSemester for family income greater than 5 lakhs) For 3rd semester fees 76300 (Family income greater than 5 lpa) 34634(Family income between 1 to 5 lpa) 13800(Family income less than 1 lpa) Also for SC/ST/PWD: 13800. West Bengal Government also provides financial aid i.e scholarships (SVMS) for financially weaker Family backgrounds.
Campus Life
Yeah, there is a lot to explore. The campus is huge. There will be fests including cultural, music, and tech fest every year and those days are remarkable and full of enjoyment. The fests are Aarohan, Recstacy
