- The infrastructure needs to be more improved . As this nit established in 1960 there is scope for renovation of many things ।
- Lab facility is not that great for nit Durgapur . Proper computer facility is not there in the nit .
Course Curriculum Overview
NIT Durgapur belongs to the top 10 NITs in India, so its faculty and student ratio is very good. The professors are also highly qualified and pioneers in research. The exams are standard and you have to give your focus to get a good result.

All the companies that come for placements also offer internship and pre-placement offers. Your efforts in the college project and in the internship helped a lot in placement. The companies are like Microsoft, Amazon, Accenture, Tata metallics, etc.
Placement Experience
The placement is quite good in NIT Durgapur. The top mnc companies like Microsoft, Amazon, Accenture, etc. come here to recruit students. Almost 90 percent got placed every year. The highest package is 70lakh per annum to 13lakh per annum average. From the 7th semister students can apply for placements
Fees and Financial Aid
Total 4-year fees are about 9 to 10 lakhs. There are many scholarship options also according to your interest. Yes, there is a price hike but you can get student loans easily. According to your family income, you can avail of the fee weaving facility.
Campus Life
The campus is amazing in NIT. There is a cultural fest every year named Recstacy and also a tech fest arrohon. There are many social, technical, and management-oriented clubs to boost your personality. Especially sports and extracurricular activities are also a part of campus.
Hostel Facilities
The hostel facility is quite good. Needy furniture, a clean washroom, and a good wifi facility are included. The mess food quality is above the standard. The is no option to take PG, we have to take a hostel room for all 4 years.
Admission
To take admission you have to clear Jee Main and apply for jossa. There are no particular percentile criteria for selection. It varies according to your reservation and which states you belong to. There is a home state quota for NIT Durgapur.
