- I didnt like the stress under the Electrical Engineering departments.
- i didnt like that the neabry areas from here are very costly.
- i didnt like the duck pond being so dirty. The scene is nearer to you.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course curriculum was pretty much okay and continuation of 12th in 1st year. Entering into the department, I have noticed that if you dont study every day and cover bit by bit it becomes very difficult to cover at the last moment. There is one faculty of over 100 students. The faculty is well qualified with Ph. D.s from reputed institutions and universities. We have exams every 2 months but faculty sometimes do take surprise tests.
Internships Opportunities
Wells Fargo, Microsoft, Flipkart, Amazon, and more colleges offered stipends, come for college placements. The stipend is around 50000. I dont have many projects like these. Hence please court to inform.
Placement Experience
placement of our college is very good. It is one of the top NITs and hence, it offers a good placement result. It offers an average package of 16 lakhs. Many big companies like Microsoft, google, DE Shaw, and JP Morgan Co. come for the on-campus placement.
Fees and Financial Aid
For the tuition fees, I would say it is around 1.5 lakh per year and if we look into the hostel and mess, it is around 40k. The opportunity scholarship is there for people with reservations and hence they can apply for financial assistance.
Campus Life
Life is campus is fixed on weekdays and too awesome and ever-changing on the weekends. The tech fest that we have in our college is called Aarohan, plus the cultural fest that we have in our college is beyond awesome.
Hostel Facilities
The facilities provided in the room are, a table and a chair, an almirah and yeah that's it. Mess Menu looks very good and mess quality is relatively better than other mess. The registration process for the hostel is very smoothly done online and everybody has to take a hostel room compulsorily for a BTech student.
Admission
I took the JEE exam to get into NIT Durgapur. I am in Electrical Engineering here and my percentile was around 97 being from Telangana home state, so the eligibility must be around that. The application is available on the JEE official website. As I had no reservations, I dont have any idea about it but yes, some cutoff differences are there.
