Course Curriculum Overview
I chose this course because Durgapur is an industrial city so here the opportunity for mechanical engineering is really up to mark. The faculties are great here. Some of them are highly qualified with various publications. The student ratio is 1:3 female: male. Every semester occurred in 6 months. And mid-term is in between them.
Internships Opportunities
ICICI Bank, PWC, ZS associates, and many companies offered stipends and internships from 3rd year. If your cgpa is good then they give is PPO in 3rd year. To get a project you have to first score a cgpa then go to department professors who help you to do any projects.
Placement Experience
From 3rd year many companies came like Accenture, PWC, ICICI, BlackRock, ZS associates, and many more. All students are placed. The highest package is offered by Adobe at 47 lpa and the average package is by TCS, Ninja is 12 lpa. Almost 90 percent of students get placed. I would like to take placement or do an M.Tech.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fee hike is negligible. And every semester costs 75000 but there is a tuition fee waiver for economically weak students. There are various scholarships like Swami Vivekananda scholarship and others. There is also financial assistance for females.
Campus Life
Recstacy is our annual fest and Aarohan is our tech fest, recstacy will be inducted in the month of April and Aarohan will be inducted in the month of March. All types of books and journals are available in the library which are related to our departments. Comfortable seats and air conditioning classroom, projector, and blackboard are available. Every year inter-NIT sports will be conducted in which we can freely participate and in many inter-NIT sports we are champions Many clubs are there which are run by students one of them is STROKES the official art and photography club of NIT DURGAPUR.
Hostel Facilities
Comfortable beds and fans and personal wardrobe and personal table and chair and study lamp. The menu is good and meal quality is good for health. At first, we pay the mess fees which include hostel fees. I don't take any room outside of college.
Admission
In this institute for mechanical engineering, you need AIR jee main under 30000 rank. The application form will be in the NTA portal. Application dates are related to jee mains result days. There is a reservation for SC, ST, PWD, and ews.
