Course Curriculum Overview
I chose the course as I love hindi literature. Though I got marks more than 760 still chose it as that's what I wanted to study. Hindi department of Hindu College is literally one of the best Hindi departments all over the country. As professors are very experienced, brilliant, and teach things in a very interesting manner. Teaching method is mostly traditional classroom based, where professors teach in a very interesting manner, sometimes they also use projector to explain stuffs and a lot of times also take us to field trip. As far as exams are concerned, exams were easy to pass. As semester exams mostly come from syllabus. Hence it's not a difficult process however one has to do regular writing practice as mostly exams are descriptive.
Internships Opportunities
Hindu College has an internship cell cakes as Abhyas. Abhyas has offered over hundred internships in its regular functioning in the previous year, alongside 250+ opportunities with more than 50 companies participating in the prestigious Annual Hindu Youth Summit and Internship Fair of Abhyas. However I've not applied for any internship in college so won't be able to tell in detail. For future details one must visit official website of Hindu College.
Fees and Financial Aid
Courses aren't as affordable as they used to be. As fee is continuosly increasing. There are certain scholarships in college which are provided to students either on the basis of exams or on the basis of marks. Some scholarships are also provided to the students from socially deprived sections of the society.
Campus Life
Hindu College is well known for its vibrant culture of societies and fests. With annual fest Mecca which is held in month of Feb or March. College has several societies like debating societies, dance societies and music societies which help in all over development of students. College also has one of the best infrastructures of Delhi University. With all the classrooms having projectors. College library is fully air conditioned, with different sections for books devoted to wide range of subjects varying from linguistics to history and sociology. College also has a basketball court, cricket pitch, football ground, volleyball ground and many other sports amenities.
Admission
Admission process wasn't much difficult as it was mostly online, one doesn't even need to be a tech savvy as whole process is so simple. Eligibility for most of the courses in Hindu or any other college of Delhi University has to be 12th pass with atleast 55% and for most of the courses one has to give exam of one language and three domain specific subjects. One can find application form and dates from official website cuet.samarth.ac.in . As far as exam fee is considered, generally to get admission in courses in DU one has to give exam of minimum 4 subjects and in order to do so application form has to be filled. INR 1500 is the fee for same for generals and INR 1300 for ST/SC/PWBD/Third gender. One improvement I feel, that colleges which are allocated after exans become mandatory option that one has to take otherwise they'll be out of whole admission process. Instead of this one must get chance to take admission in any college they're eligible for as per scores willingly
