Course Curriculum Overview
I'd choose this course for highly relevant and extensive curriculum as well as the best of the faculties available in the department of CSE. The faculty is highly qualified as required in any central institute and having teaching style of their own, their own way to make students grasp every concept. The exams are conducted as per the academic calendar then endsems being at December and April respectively. The exams were at times difficult to moderate too. Although one could easily pass them if he/she applied efforts enough.
Internships Opportunities
Internship is offered at the prefinal year oncampus and one could get it off campus as well. The companies include Samsung, Amazon, Microsoft and so on with software roles. The core companies visit as well for the branches.
Placement Experience
The students of final year are eligible for on campus placements. Multiple companies including tech giants like Microsoft, Amazon visited the campus with soft ware roles. Other companies like JP Morgan and co. Too visited the campus. Overall average package was 13.62lpa, highest being 70 lpa. 85% of students appeared were placed. Mostly students opt for placements whereas others move for further studies in various parts of the country and world.
Fees and Financial Aid
The cost to study will somewhere be around 8 lakh for entire 4 years with tuition fees being 62500 for each semester and other fees included. If the annual family income of the candidate is below 1 lpa or falls under sc/st/PWD category the entire tuition fees is waived off. If the candidates fall under 1 to 5 lpa category their 3/4th of the tuition fees is waived off. The oncampus placement opportunities are provided at the final year.
Campus Life
The annual techno management fest is aarohan in the month of March, the cultural fest being recstacy at the month of April. The books both of curriculum and out of curriculum are available in the library which could be borrowed too. The sports facilities are at par with any other institute of national importance rightaway starting from football, basketball, volleyball or even badminton, so on. There are multiple clubs maintained by the students bodies like the muC (music club), EDC(entrepreneurship and development cell), Recursion (coding club) and many more.
Hostel Facilities
Theres a three sharing room each having a chair, table , bed and a almira. The meal in provided three times a day including the breakfast. The quality is pretty great much more than one would expect, though it depends from hostel to hostel. Special dinner is provided at every Wednesday. Registration of hostel is done with the offline reporting. The hostel are compulsory and pretty affordable and the mess as well which accounts tk 19k per sem.
Admission
Anyone appearing for jee mains and having more than 75% in 12 is eligible. Jee main application form can be found in josaa website and the exam in conducted in month on January and April. There are home state and out state seat pools separately. Like any other government institute category reservation exists too. The admission could be made smoother by doing the document verification online and not offline.
