Hindu College was chosen over other options mainly because it is one of the top DU colleges for science and mathematics, with a strong academic reputation, good placements and still affordable government?college fees. While filling CUET preferences, colleges like Ramjas and Kirori Mal were also considered, but Hindu offered a better mix of campus environment, societies and B.Sc Maths reputation, so it was kept higher in the preference list. Admission is completely through CUET and the DU CSAS portal now; after the CUET result, course–college preferences are filled online, and seats are allotted in several rounds based on score, category and seat availability. Apart from Hindu College, i applied for a admission in Chemistry hons course at Banaras Hindu University and Allahabad University and I got the confirmed admissions in both but I chose Hindu College over others bcz of its reputation, NIRF topper(NIRF 1 all over India),etc. No, I didn't get any rejection from any college i applied for.
