NIT DGP Reality for upcoming student..

I choose this course because of 2 reasons.. Firstly, My father works in a steel plant because of this my interest is developed in this branch. Secondly, My rank was not too much to get CS branch so next branch after CS is Metallurgy for me.. Faculty and members of this college is not too good..And Boys to girls ratio is almost 4:1 Some of the professor have taught in other NITS too and most of the professor are Bengali . Don't take too much stress about your semester exam it is as easy as to pass by studying before exams

The internship is almost available for almost all branch students.. So you don't have to worry about your branch.. During the NIT DURGAPUR Summer Internship Placements 2022, Microsoft extended the most internship offers to the students. At the summer internship placement drive , additional recruiters from Wells Fargo,Goldman Sachs,JP Morgan Chase ,Bajaj ,and others also took part.. Gained working experience in companies by doing internship..

From 3rd semester students become eligible for placements.. There are about 200 company visit to our college.. And they offers almost 800 jobs. There are big companies such as Oracle , JP Morgan, TCS, and much more.. Almost 90% get placed at the end of 4th year.. I have to do MTech after getting job in some company with some agreement with that college..

There are total three type of fees you have to give.. For OBC it is.. 1. College fees(40kpa) 2.Hostel rent fees(45kpa) 3. Mess fees(40kpa) As I belong to other state that is why I didn't got the opportunity to avail any scholarship but for west Bengal state students there is a scholarship provided to them and they get 60kpa..

In our college NIT DURGAPUR one famous fest is AROHAN which is the biggest tech fest in North India..and Rectasy fest and one or two more fest is there.. AROHAN fest is conducted in the month of February or March.. Almost most of the authors books are available in our central library and one most important book for math for 1st year is ANITA PAL.. Recently Inter NIT sports have been conducted in our college which includes weight lifting, football.. There are all types of clubs available in our college like Prakriti- For environment lovers .. Coding , dancing , singing , and others clubs are there in our college.. You may choose club according to your own choice..

There are 3 students in each room and for each of them one bed , one chair , one study table , and one one big almirah is provided .. For non veg lovers our college is better as our mess provide it almost 5 days in a week .. Menu :In Breakfast - Bread jam , Banana , Milk , tea,chola bhatura , idli , bada ,Chowmin , Pasta . In Lunch: Rice,Chappati , dal , Panner/fish /chicken,sabji , Dahi , Salad. In Dinner : Rice , Chappati, dal, Panner/fish /chicken/Egg/Mutton , Sweet , Ice cream , Custard. Hostel is registered once in a year.. You have to choose only hostel and there is no other option provided to you..

First of all as you already know you have to clear jee main exam with almost 95 percentile and above to get into NIT'S after giving jee exam the next step is JOSSA Counselling in which you all will be provided previous year cuttoff's which will be very beneficial to you.. You must choose the college according to previous year data only... After that you have to wait for the rounds.. There are 6 rounds of JOSSA and 2 rounds for CSAB counselling.. Application form will be available in NTA official website.. Application fees is 1000 rs. And date will be provided to you in the NTA Official website.. You must try to avail OBC or either Gen -EWS reservation if possible.. NTA should be punctual about its date and time which is the biggest improvement it needs... ????
