Likes
- There are pros and cons in everywhere. Some faculty are great some are rubbish.
- The research faculty are really well. In some sections like robotics and production engineering are awesome.
- The fests are great if the student body is present.
Dislikes
- The educational system is old-fashioned. There are many modernize tools are present but they are still teaching the old book syllabus.
- Some of the faculty members are really not helping and make student life hell.
- The hostel rooms and mess are disgusting.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course is very easy . Various subjects and the contents vary from easy to extremely difficult and complicated. The subject contents are very old-fashioned. The course contents could be modernized. But the facility like their old-fashioned educational system. This educational system is literally made to make labours.
Internships Opportunities
The internship opportunities varies from high-tech international companies to low class vocational training in bad industries. But overall everyone got atleast one internship. Even some outstanding students get outside India internship training.
Placement Experience
The placement here is reasonably good. The companies from both india and abroad come here for placement. The company both from core and non core sectors come here. Even the psus like HPCL BPCL come here for placement. The average CTC varies from 20 to 5 LPA. The highest package in mechanical is 22 LPA from BPCL.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fees structure is understandable. The cost is less. The feels for SC ST OBC and students with less family income are less and the campus jobs opportunity are enough. The financial assistance is good.
Campus Life
Everything is rubbish. I can say clubs helps to get communication skills and leadership skills. But the campus life is rubbish. The annual fest and tech fest are not going on right now. I don't think it will with out a proper student body aka gymkhana.
Hostel Facilities
The hostel rooms are rubbish. The mess is rubbish. The rented accommodation is rubbish. The students have to struggle hard to live in the hostel. The mess food is very bad. There are day where I get special dinner here those days food is eatable.
Admission
The admission process was an easy process. I had gone through all the steps carefully. I got a percentile of 89% . As I was SC I got into it easily. I got NIT Durgapur mechanical engineering in last round. It was very easy process the only problem in the procedure was the verification of the docoments file size limits. I had to compress the docoments many times to fill it. But the process was very easy. What I have to do was explained very well in the Jossa website.
