Remarks

NIT campus is very good quality in the crowd-free, peaceful, and green environment. teaching facilities are very high qualitative and informative. but I always say that food in the hostel mess is very bad.

Entrance Preview

I opt nit Durgapur for my higher education because it is central university funded by MHRD India. everyone wants to do his engineering from IIT or NIT for his career. I counsel to take admission in NIT after successfully complete JEE main entrance exam.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

the course syllabus is well planned according to career development and student should able to stand in the engineering community. the course curriculum also connects with extra social curriculum activities. the syllabus is completed at time and exams are based fully based on what is taught by faculty.

Internships Opportunities

the internship is provided in some companies connected to campus. also some internship in govt. the project recommended by the college representative. but most of the students have to get an internship by self.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Per year course fee is approx 130000 for General, 90000 for OBC, NIL FOR SC/ST, excluding hostel fee which is around 35000. The fee is collected per semester so spilled in parts fee don't give any pressure to poor students to get the fee. It is very feasible fee structure decided by AICTE.

Fees and Financial Aid

Institute Scholarships OPJEM. MHRD pay the tuition fee for poor and backward cast students by getting any scholarship. also if there is a need for a loan. It is very easy to get the loan.

Campus Life

4

The extracurriculars are very good. You can engage in Sports or various other clubs like the dramatics or the dance club or the tech clubs. The club culture is very good and one of the best things about this college. the campus is crowd free and green environment. it is spread positive thoughts.labs are fully facilitated and the technician is experts. sports and games are organized from time to time on the campus.

Hostel Facilities

4

hostels are good condition and facilities are good. During the 1st year, there is 4 person in each room. It does not cause any problem. During the 4th year, you get a single room. You have to pay nearly 40000 per year for hostel and mess. Food is very bad, really bad. You all get is half-cooked fish, unpeeled potatoes in hostel mess. food is always a bad point for me.

Alumni/Alumna

Subash Menon - co-founder and ex-ceo of the Subex and Founder of Kivar Holdings of which he is current chairman. Pankaj Baliga -Vice President -Tata Consultancy services Nilotpal Ray Managing Director, Indian Iron and Steel company. it always helps if your campus has a big network of alumni. also, seniors are polite, no ragging on the campus.

Admission

for taking admission in nit one has to successfully complete JEE entrance exam. after that one has to counselling through online conduct by JOSAA and CBSE. after allotment of college as per you can choose in your preferances NIT durgapur and your wishing stream branch. your rank and JEE score should more then cut off marks.

Faculty

4.5

it is not easy to assess for a student. Now in my department, there are few well knowledgeable faculties. they are well experienced and interactive always ready to help you out of problems. So we have to study on our own and understand the subject but if you have any doubts you can always ask the professors for help.

I don't have idea about the placements since I'm in first year now. But I talked to a senior and got to know that many got multiple offers in 4th year. I also head that packages are around 4 lpa which is a decent and also a rise than the previous year.

Placement Experience:

The campus placements happen in final year of the course. There is a well established placement cell to conduct the on-campus placements. Many well renowned companies visit our college namely Microsoft, Google, TI, TSL, PWC, ICICI, ABG. L&T, etc. The highest package was 50LPA and the average was around 9LPA. Over 90% students got placed from across every department and details of the placement is also available in the college official website. I have gotten a job from the on-campus drive to a core company.

Placement Experience:

The placements of our college are below average. Studies for placement are more or less relevant from second semester. companies like tcs, amazon etc do visit our campus however very few are selected with package above 4-5 LPA. Most of the students seek out for higher studies and that's my plan too.

Placement Experience:

After the 6th semester, the students are eligible for placements. Mass recruiters like TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Accenture, Capgemini, etc visit every year and pick up 80-100 students per company. Other companies like Amazon, Thoughtworks, Etc also visit the college. The highest package offered by our college is 15LPA by Thoughtworks. Every year around 75-80% of students get placed on campus. I plan to get a good job work for 2-3 years and then apply for Masters. Overall the placement is very nice in this college.
