Course Curriculum Overview
Inter NIT sports will be conducted, each and every person gets opportunity to show their talent in sports and curriculum. Labs are really creative to upskill our knowledge. Faculty is really good in teaching
Internships Opportunities
Projects are done in the seventh and eighth semester in the campus provided by college itself. My project is on venturimeter. There are no interships provided within the campus we have to go outside to do the internships
Placement Experience
Students will be sitting for the placements right from their 5th semester. 3rd year students will get internship based on their scores and skills in their individual departments. More than 150 companies visit our campus every year and 700+ placements will be offered. Companies like Amazon hire more than 20 students every year with a package of 53 lakhs . I think the highest package is 80 lakhs in our campus only one person got this opportunity. Average package is about 9 lakhs in 2023. 87% students got placed in 2023. I am currently doing job after my BTech.
Fees and Financial Aid
There is no such tution fee, we have to pay only semester fee for all the semesters, 4 years of BTech it costed me not more than 250000 and for students with family income less than 100000 we can claim scholarships every year.
Campus Life
There is big Library in our campus with more than 1 lakh books and the timings is from morning 9am to night 10 pm. For each department based on the strength there will be multiple sections, each class will be held for 1 hour , we will be having both black board and projector type classes for deep understanding of subject. Every week there will be 4 labs for each subject. Labs exams will be conducted for each semester. Apart from studies we will be having sport sections every year like inter NIT and inter Hall games conducted , two big grounds are available in the campus.There are many different clubs in the campus like dance club, tech club, ncc club etc,.. students actively participate in the fests held in the campus.
Hostel Facilities
In hostels 3 persons will be sharing a room with common bathrooms in each floor, separate year students having separate halls(apartments) canteen will be in the ground floor. We have to pay 17000 in the canteen per semester, we have to register for room and food in the begining of the semester by paying amount in the SBI bank available in the campus
Admission
With JEE mains 98.4 percentile I'm eligible for mechanical engineering in NIT Durgapur, there is also reservation benifits. The entrance exam will be given after 12th and twice a year. Once you qualify the entrance exam you will be asked for college counseling. You have to select some colleges based on your score ,there will be seven rounds in the counseling after seven rounds the college assigned for you will be the final one. Further process will be explained by authorities
