Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

Our college follows a unique and comprehensive curriculum, which I would rate 7/10. It's designed by professionals within the college who incorporate extra activities related to technology information, aiding students in further education. With two semesters per year, each semester includes one midterm exam, which is easily manageable with regular attendance and consistent daily work.

Internships Opportunities

3.5

The process for securing an internship depends on your preference—whether it's a research internship or an industrial one. For industrial internships, companies typically visit the campus during your third year. You would apply for internship positions, undergo tests, and if successful, get selected. On the other hand, if you're interested in a research internship, the process is a bit more complex...

Placement Experience

4

Upon completing their fifth semester, students become eligible for campus placements, which are facilitated at the Career Development Center within the campus premises. The placement rates have consistently been high, reaching 98% in 2020, 88% in 2022, and 95% in 2023. Key recruiters include TCS, IBM, Google, Infosys, Adobe, and Amazon. The median salary packages for undergraduate (UG) four-year degrees stood at 6.5lakhs in 2020, 7 lakhs in 2021, and 6 lakhs in 2022. While many students opt for placements, some may also choose to pursue higher studies such as MTech or MBA.

Fees and Financial Aid

Our college charges a consistent tuition fee across all branches and years, amounting to 62,500 INR per semester and 5 lakhs for the entire graduation program. The first semester's total fee is approximately 1,15,000 INR, while subsequent semesters cost around 83,000 INR. This fee covers hostel charges of 7,000 INR, mess fee of 20,000 INR, and other fees such as medical, library, and computer fees. Students have access to education loans, as they are readily available. Although there are no part-time job opportunities on campus, the college offers scholarships based on merit and provides reservation-based scholarships as well. Examples of these scholarships include the All India National Scholarship and the Vivekananda Scholarship.

Campus Life

3.5

Our college campus offers a remarkable experience despite its modest size, boasting exceptional infrastructure. With three auditorium types, two outdoor playgrounds, and an indoor stadium known as the SAC auditorium, students have ample recreational and academic spaces. The serene duck pond adds to the ambiance, particularly in the evenings. A standout feature is our extensive library, housing over one lakh books and providing high-speed WiFi. Operating from 5 am to 10 pm, it accommodates various study schedules. Beyond academics, our college hosts a range of sports events, including Inter NIT tournaments, Hit Hall tournaments, and inter-branch competitions, as well as eSports tournaments. Furthermore, our college fosters a vibrant club culture, encompassing technical clubs like GLUG, RECurrison, Math and Tech, CCA, SAE, IEEE, and ISTE, alongside cultural clubs such as Strokes, Dance, Music, and Prakrit. Throughout the academic year, students eagerly anticipate festivals like E-SUMMIT

Hostel Facilities

3.5

During their initial two years, male students are assigned to either Hall 11 or 14, while female students are housed in Hall 10, and international students are accommodated in Hall 12. The first-year hostels boast well-furnished rooms with good infrastructure, though the quality may decline in subsequent years. For the first three years, three students share a room, while in the fourth year, each student is allotted a single room. Room amenities include three tables, lamp lights, lockers, two fans, and three cots without mattresses. Recreational facilities comprise badminton and table tennis courts, along with chess and carrom boards. However, the quality of the mess food is subpar, featuring the same weekly menu throughout the semester, posing a challenge for students from South India to adjust. Thankfully, nearby restaurants like DFC and Wondercafe provide alternatives. First-year students face restrictions and are not permitted to leave the campus premises.

Admission

Securing admission is straightforward. First, we need to write the JEE Mains exam and achieve a good percentile. Based on the college's cutoff, we can secure admission. The application fee for JEE Mains is 1000 INR for OC, 800 INR for OBC, and 500 INR for categories like SC/ST. JEE Mains primarily requires a strong foundation in the basics. If we excel at problem-solving, the exam feels moderately challenging in my opinion.

Placement Experience:

The campus placements happen in final year of the course. There is a well established placement cell to conduct the on-campus placements. Many well renowned companies visit our college namely Microsoft, Google, TI, TSL, PWC, ICICI, ABG. L&T, etc. The highest package was 50LPA and the average was around 9LPA. Over 90% students got placed from across every department and details of the placement is also available in the college official website. I have gotten a job from the on-campus drive to a core company.

The placements of our college are below average. Studies for placement are more or less relevant from second semester. companies like tcs, amazon etc do visit our campus however very few are selected with package above 4-5 LPA. Most of the students seek out for higher studies and that's my plan too.

Placement Experience:

After the 6th semester, the students are eligible for placements. Mass recruiters like TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Accenture, Capgemini, etc visit every year and pick up 80-100 students per company. Other companies like Amazon, Thoughtworks, Etc also visit the college. The highest package offered by our college is 15LPA by Thoughtworks. Every year around 75-80% of students get placed on campus. I plan to get a good job work for 2-3 years and then apply for Masters. Overall the placement is very nice in this college.
