Course Curriculum Overview
Our college has a top-notch curriculum, rated 9 out of 10. It's designed by experts within the college and includes additional tech-related activities to enhance students' education. We have two semesters each year, with one midterm exam per semester. If we attend lectures regularly and keep up with our work, the midterm exams are easy to manage.
Internships Opportunities
It depends on the type of internship you want, whether it's research or industrial. For industrial internships, companies come to campus during your third year. You apply, take tests, and if you pass, you get selected easily. But if you're interested in research internships, it's a bit more complicated.
Placement Experience
After finishing the 5th semester, students can participate in campus placements held at the Career Development Center on campus. The placement rates have been consistently high, like 98.88% in 2020, 88.3% in 2022, and 95.97% in 2023. Big companies like TCS, IBM, Google, Infosys, Adobe, and Amazon recruit students. The median salary for undergraduate (UG) four-year degrees was around 6.4 lakhs in 2020, 7.98 lakhs in 2021, and 6.8 lakhs in 2022. While many students go for placements, some may also decide to pursue further studies like MTech or MBA.
Fees and Financial Aid
The tuition fees for our college are the same for all branches and years, set at 62,500 INR per semester and 5 lakhs for the entire graduation program. In the first semester, the total fee is about 1,15,000 INR, and for subsequent semesters, it's around 83,000 INR. This includes hostel charges of 7,000 INR, mess fee of 20,000 INR, and other fees like medical, library, and computer fees. Students can easily get education loans here. While there aren't any part-time job options on campus, the college offers scholarships based on merit and reservation-based scholarships like the All India National Scholarship and Vivekananda Scholarship.
Campus Life
The campus experience at our college is amazing. Even though it's not very big, the infrastructure is top-notch. We have three types of auditoriums, two outdoor playgrounds, and an indoor stadium called SAC auditorium. Our campus even has a peaceful duck pond, perfect for relaxing in the evenings. Our library is a standout feature, with over one lakh books and high-speed WiFi. It's open from 5 am to 10 pm, catering to different study schedules. Besides academics, our college hosts various sports events like Inter NIT tournaments, Hit Hall tournaments, and inter-branch tournaments, including eSports. We also have a lively club culture, including technical clubs like GLUG, RECurrison, Math and Tech, CCA, SAE, IEEE, ISTE, and cultural clubs like Strokes, Dance, Music, and Prakrit. Throughout the year, students look forward to festivals like E-SUMMIT, AAROHAN, AAVISHKAR, and RECSTACY, which add excitement to campus life.
Hostel Facilities
In the first two years, male students stay in either Hall 11 or 14, while female students are in Hall 10, and international students stay in Hall 12. The first-year hostels are well-equipped, but the quality declines in later years. For the first three years, three students share a room, while in the fourth year, each student gets their own room. Room facilities include tables, lamps, lockers, fans, and cots without mattresses. Recreational facilities include badminton and table tennis courts, as well as chess and carrom boards. However, the mess food quality is not great, with the same menu every week, which can be tough for students from South India. Thankfully, there are nearby restaurants like DFC and Wondercafe. First-year students have restrictions and can't leave the campus.
Admission
To get admission, first, you need to take the JEE Mains exam and score well compared to others. The application fee varies based on your category: 1000 INR for OC, 800 INR for OBC, and 500 INR for SC/ST. You also need to achieve at least 75% in your 12th board exams. Good problem-solving skills are essential for tackling the JEE Mains, which is of average difficulty if you have a strong foundation in your basics.
