The college is excellent in terms of both infrastructure and faculty. It provides the right building blocks to students for their careers. The college management plays a vital role in the functioning of the college and the building up of the personality of a student. The management of this college lives up to its role and expectations and helps in maintaining a cordial and enriching atmosphere in the college.

The course like any other undergraduate courses in India is for three years and it is divided into six semesters. An honors course in English requires rigorous research and writing. The internal assessment required every student to dig deeper into the course and write their respective papers. With a driven and qualified faculty, students feel less pressurized and more motivated to work.

The placement cell of the college is very active when it comes to providing both jobs and internships. They provide it for every department of the college, whether it is English, Mass media, Computer Science, BA programme etc. They hold preliminary rounds according to the requirements of the company. The students are then further into the process depending upon their fulfillment of the requirements by the company.

Each festival is celebrated with a lot of zeal and enthusiasm at this college. Ranging from republic day, Diwali, northeast fest to eco-festival, the college plays host to a variety of cultures and beliefs. For each event, there are various food stalls, jewelry stalls and a dance party that follows in which both the students and the faculty actively take part. The main event of the college is Shruti, the annual cultural festival.

The yearly fee at Indraprastha college for women is approximately 15K-20K. It is higher than other colleges at Delhi University but it is owing to the facilities that are provided here. It offers a range of activities such as swimming, gym, shooting arena, badminton courts, etc. The college also has a very hygienic and inexpensive cafeteria. Along with this, it provides other amenities such as the infirmary, dance studio and the recharge shop which makes the college an all in all hub with the fee is a little higher than other colleges, the students get amenities and facilities that cover the additional costs.

Scholarships are available for students who need assistance with the college fee. The scholarships are given to students with special needs and those who require financial aid. They are also given to students who excel in their academic grades in college every year. Having no personal experience with the same, but I have known students who have applied for the same.

It is an all-girls college. With proper management, location and security, it provides a very secure environment for the students and faculty. It also provides an on-campus hostel to the students and on-campus residential flats for the faculty members. It provides a range of other facilities such as the shooting range, swimming pool, badminton courts, dance studio, playgrounds etc.

The senior students play a crucial role in the development of any student of a college. They not only acquaint the student with the college and its workings, but they also serve as examples for their juniors. Along with the faculty, the senior students familiarize the juniors with the course and the assessment process. They act as both friends and mentors.

Delhi University releases a cut off list every year. Each list is released according to the percentage required by each college for admission to various courses. each list is release approximately seven to ten days apart with having scored 95 percent in the CBSE board exam, I got in through the first list for BA (English) Honours at Indraprastha College for Women, University of Delhi.

The faculty of the college is highly qualified and motivated. They act as the pillars of strength for a student during his/her three years in college. With the right guidance and motivation, the students are able to sail smoothly through their college life. The English department of the college annually holds seminars for the presentation of research papers.
