Course Curriculum Overview

3

I am pursuing a B.A. Program in Commerce and Economics. As a commerce student, I always wanted to pursue B.com but due to unavoidable circumstances, I had to go with these. And not lying the course has the same curriculum as that of B.com with an addition of Economics. The curriculum prepares you for real-world applications as we are given real-world case studies to solve and research to do. Areas for improvements- Not too many bookish things should be taught, the practical world should be explored too. The frequency of the exam happens once every 6 months, and it is semester-wise. The difficulty level is intermediate level.

Internships Opportunities

3

Companies like Zomato and others were involved in the internship providing process, for which they offered about 7-8k per month and the role was for sales associate. Also, I got to perform as a business development intern in my very first year. I got to know the aspects of a startup culture too.

Placement Experience

3.5

The students become eligible for placement in their 3rd year. There have been great companies coming on campus and hiring students. Some of them are - DE Shaw, EY, KPMG, Zomato, etc. The highest package that was offered was around 21 lakhs per annum the previous year. I am currently pursuing my CS along with graduation. So I will be continuing with the same.

Fees and Financial Aid

Tution fee is just bare minimum of what you expect. For my course the fees is only 7-8k per year. Even if the hike occurs, it reaches to only 5-600 per year. The complete cost of my education goes from 1 lakh to 1.5 lakh per year, be it my residency charges, food and miscellaneous expenses. There are various scholarship and financial aid provided to the students. The details of which can be made available at the college website. I was able to find an internship from the college in my first year with a stipend of 5k per month.

Campus Life

3.5

The annual fest is named- Mehak. The fest occurs every year with lots of competitions, programs and also the star night which invited Inder Chahal this year. The library is vast and includes books of every genres. The facilities is really worse in case of classes, the benches are those which we used in school and the classrooms only have fans which causes irritations. The sports comittee is there in college and boxing, kabaddi, volleyball, archery are the major ones offered here. Extra ordinary social clubs, groups are there. From social work to entrepreneurial benefits are provided by the college. Many famous college societies like finance cell, Enactus, E-cell give students a platform to perform and develop their skills.

Admission

Eligibilty of the course- Anyone can apply after 12th. All you need to do is to fill the form of Cuet-Ug. The form will be available at the site of Cuet, the exam happens once a year and the application fees for the general category is around 1200 and less for sc/st/obc.

Faculty

3.5

As far as I have experienced, the faculty-to-student ratio depends subject-wise. Sometimes the ratio seems okay and sometimes not. The faculties are top-level ones, they are master of their own subjects and the way of teaching is awesome. Teachers are supportive and cooperative, they understand you in your good and bad times. Also, we can interact with our teachers anytime we want to. They are also added on our WhatsApp as well.

Placements are available in college, the drive is quite extensive, everyone is made aware of the choices and options and counselling is present too. It is from the third year, students are eligible to apply for placements. Companies and organisations take part such as Niti ayog, Times, Geostrata, Prajatantra foundation, etc. Those who desire usually work on their CVs, keep on doi internships and then get a placement. The packages are not that impressive to be honest.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course is really very interesting. It keeps up with our expectations. Involves both practical and theoretical aspects to make sure that we are able to face the real world. Also, with the help of the guidance that we get from teachers we're able to ace both the aspects. The examinations also are based on applications, thus, helping us to enhance ourselves in all possibilities.

I got a seat in Ramjas College. It is a north-campus college. The infrastructure is too good compared to the remaining colleges. The teaching also going well but I faced some language problems. I'm from south India so I don't understand Hindi properly. But here mostly they teach in Hindi only and English is used very rarely.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course itself is prestigious and is mostly opted for by people who plan either on preparing for the Civil Services or those who want to pursue academia. The course structure is framed in a manner that you don't just simply study history there, but you ingrain a critical viewpoint of a young historian. The faculty of History Hons. has some of the best Professors in the University, although you will in any course at any college find some teachers below your expectations, you don't have to bear them for more than 1 or 2 semesters. Passing the exams is not very difficult, but yes scoring above average is. If you get a GPA ranging from 6 to 7, you've performed fine. Above that is considered a Very good performance in Hons. courses of Social sciences at Delhi University. there are semester exams every 5- 6 months
