- The college campus is vast and beautiful , the college has a history of 100 years it is the oldest womens college in DU
- The college has all facilities for study and extra curricular activities like gym , vast play ground basketball court and also a very good library
- The college campus is very eco friendly and is one of the most beautiful campuses of DU , it is very calm and peaceful
Dislikes
- It is a bit far away from Du north campus colleges even though the college comes under the north campus, it is in civil lines
- The college is apolitical so if you are looking for political active one this college is not for you
- The college timings it starts from 8 in the morning, the time table is not so good and about teaching staff there are good and bad .
Course Curriculum Overview
I choose the course BA program in which you could pursue 2 disciplines, I choose history and political science, if you are a upsc aspirant this would be very helpful They could do some museums visit historical monument visit for history , another thing nep has made the syllabus so difficult, cause foe vac and sec , which are skill development courses we have to give importance to these subjects which are not very important, and has to do a lot of assignments for these Other than that the main subjects are easy for me you also have to choose a major for this course BA program, like from history and political science you need to choose a major so if you choose history you will have 2 paper for history and 1 paper for political science
Internships Opportunities
The psychology department for our college is really good, they have internship opportunities. They give stipends for research work for projects that you choose. There is many also research work for history, we also have a museum in our college.
Fees and Financial Aid
For 1 year the fee is 28000 and about scholarships there is scholarships for blind students and about other fee there isn't much. The hostel fee is 80000 For a semester . Then there is opportunities cell in college which give you further information about stipends and scholarships, there is scholarships for students but I have not applied so I don't know further details
Campus Life
Overall experience is good, the college is great for studies as it has a very calm and soothing environment and the college has beautiful gardens, cats dogs and many birds. The campus has beautiful flowers and is very eco friendly The main fest of the college is Sruthi which is held for 2 days. Which is fun There are many societies but the most active ones are Afroza wichich is western dance society, mridang classical Indian dance society and alap Indian music society. Then there is eco club and sports club there all help students to grow in their own feilds The classrooms are quite spacious but there are small classes also , which has chair which has fixed tables. I personally don't like them.
Admission
Admission is all through cuet entrance exam My score was 650 I got this college with reservation , if you have above 700 you could get into this college, Admission process is all through cuet exam you can either freeze or give for upgrade after accepting the given seat then after online verification you get Admission . For getting reservations you have to submit your caste certificate. Cuet was comparatively easy last year but it's difficult has increased.
Faculty
There are enough faculty members, according to my experience many teachers are not very good at teaching but still there are good teachers, we have tutoring class every week for every subject at that time anyone can interact freely to the teachers. I had very good teachers but also the one who didn't teach well it depends.
