The management is not good . you can say it frankly . Because of this many good things happens or you can say bad things . you cant say.

Basically , I was having the knowledge of this college as one of my cousin was pass out from this college . I was knowing abt this college , It is one of the prestigious institute of that time, As it was started back in 1969 ,so this college would be more experienced in terms of educated facility,This is what matters for a college .Thats, why went into National institute of technology Durgapur

The course corriculum is well managaed and balance. 1st year- we are having basic subjects that are required for everyone. Mathematics,Physics,Chemistry,english ,EVS,Economics, EC C++.This all covered the basic aspects of engineering. 2nd year- WE are there with departmental subject. Thermodynamics,Fluid mechanics,Mechanics, Chemistry and mathematics, heat transfer. 3rd year- mass transfer, Chemical reaction Engineering , Mathematical Modelling, Process Design 4th year- Open electives , chemical plant technology.

obviously, this is the college of national importance. By the couple of a year the placement has increased by 80 percent because of this in MHRD ranking, the ranking of NIT Durgapur has increased by the mile to 3 ahead of moment Allahabad. This year Microsoft has taken 11 full - time for 40 lap and 7 interns. Amazon, JPMC, Tata steel, Saint Gobain and many for a company have come by know and there are many more to come. there are people who are provided with seen and foreign intern under the scheme of students exchange program.

In Nit durgapur there are 7-8 clubs .CCA ,SAE, MNTC, PRAKRITI, LC, QUIZZ CLUB, DEBATING SOCIETY, GLUG, Recursion,EDC,BMEP organization for poor people ,they tech them every saturday and sundays. Through the year thse clubs events are going on.Majorly there are two tech fest. one is AArohan conducted by cca and other is avishkar held by mntc, sae, glug. And one cultural fest which is conducted by college gymkhanna. Recstacy , the cultural fest is the most awaited moemt of the year, famous singes and personalities came for this event.

The fee structure is as prescribed by the MHRd .The semester fee is rs 69000. There are varios criterias , if you family income is below 5lakh then you pay 29k. If you are sc/st then you are waived of with tution fees. The college also provide scholarships for the deserving candidate.Many other state scholarships are also available.

The college provide with its scholarship. then there aere state scholarships, and many more other organizations provide scholarship. op jindal is the famous one. There are two banks canara bank and sbi bank whic provide loan facilities for the students.

Well as i already expalined , there are clubs which invlolved in the techincal activities like robotics ,debate throughout the year .There are internit competition which are held all over the NITs.The college also had his sports day. the labs are ancient . They are very old. they are with all the eqipments but all they now needed to be changed.

The hostel facilities were not good. Now, the college is coming up with new hostels, those are of with high standard facilities. If you will not feel that you are in any hostel. there are 14 hostels .hall 1 to 5 are for 2nd, 3rd and 4th years, and Hall 11 for first years. and similarly for girls. This is not home, it a hostel and mess food is healthy but not tasty for the tongue. Except for the breakfast which students feel happy to eat.

The college has established a alumini network portal through which allalumnini are connected. Every year alumini talks are conducted and alumini meets are held. The most important thing is the senior ,the releations that you have with them.They are very supportive and helpful in every aspect of life. This is what you get through those college years.

There are 8 semesters .First two semesters are of 24 credits and rest are of 22 credits. the end sem is of 50 marks and 30 marks of end sem .and 10 marks are for attendance and 10 marks are of assignment. The odd sem mid sem held in september and end sem in december and for eben sem mid-sem are in march and edn sem in may. This how the examination schedule works.

I went in through JEE main . It a famous exam for students and all knows abt. I gave the exam in march , Result was declared in march. The counselling statred in june . In the first round ,i got nit jalandar , and in the last round .I get into NIT durgapur. The admission were from 25-28 july .I went through the admission and document verification process in the college . It took me a whole day .It was an tirring experience.

The faculities are well qualified having M.tech ,Phd degree. All of them are involved in research work. They are very suppotive but with thier attitude in thier pocket.they are establised faculty , there are around 250 facility memebers. There are around 500 phd shcolars those are working with the professors.
