Likes
- The beauty of the campus is fully visible in each and every weather,even it provides an aesthetic look during various seasons.The white historical buildings give a look of old beauty.
- The professor especially of political science department are very supportive, caring and understanding.They will help you out in every situation and the way of their teaching is also appreciable.
- Various sports arena like basketball court,lawn tennis, badminton,gym, boxing and many more sports activities are provided in the college and had a proper space for it.
Dislikes
- The college canteen is not good,even feel like it is overpriced when comparing with the taste . Although it provides an ample amount of dishes are provided in the menu.
- The annual fest conducted by the college SHRUTI is not happen in a manner it should be, because everything is under proffesors and they conduct the event,so I can say it is not the one we dream of.Its like average.
- The dissolution of student union and department union is something which led to students not to get proper support or keep their opinions easily to the authority as there is no such representative from all of us.
Course Curriculum Overview
As I did my 12 in humanities stream and planning to go for proffesorship because of which I pursued this subject. If one look at overall perspective for this course,it enrich our knowledge and provide various perspective of visualising things happening around the world with providing a critical opinion on various topics.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fees during the time of admission is approx 30000 and then get reduced by second year and third year by 18-19000.A lot many scholarships are provided via various criteria like the EWS avail fees concession up to 10k in annual fees of the college.Each and every course have theirs own scholarship and the students who fulfill the criteria avail it.Tge above specified are of Political science Hons . Their are scholarship for physically challenged students too. The annual fees differ from course to course.
Campus Life
My overall campus experience is good ,as I am in a girls college so many a time deprived of various things like election didn't happen,the imagination of fest never come into reality,the freedom of keeping our opinion is not as much. There are various club in our college but earlier it was under various students like president vice president but now as there is dissolution of student union so it is under proffesors now. The infrastructure is very good and aesthetic too.
Admission
We were of CUET first batch due to which we didn't choose the college instead of it it was allocated to us. It was my sixth preference and above it are the college like LSR, Miranda,Hindu,KMC,Ramjas only because of being in north campus nothing more as such any particular reason. The admission process did in three phase -registraion on CSAS, preference filling and then allotment.One can go for upgrade but it is not necessary that it will get upgraded. And in CUET one can't choose the college,one can only fill the preference list.
Faculty
The faculty members of particular political science department are too helpful, supportive and easily approachable. The marking criteria include the continuous assessment and internal assessment.These both marks include in the semester exam.They are based on the lecture and tutorial assessment, attendance and the assignment done by the students. For each subject you need to prepare an assy,a test, presentation,book review and some movie review too.
