Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

The course BA eco hons is a well renowned course . This course takes into consideration the thorough study of both micro and macro economics. This course is the most valuable course as it is has the study of money . . This course opens the door to a wide range of career options including roles in finance, consulting and policy analysis. This course can only be opted if u have had maths as there is more maths than eco in this course . The exams are the end of one semester and there are some internal assessments that the professors take according to them . The course is not so difficult , if one has a good understanding of what is being s/he can easily give exams .

Internships Opportunities

4

There are many internships opportunities available for the students but mostly in second semester. There are some societies for these such as placement cell Disha , Abhay . The companies like Accenture , google , etc

Placement Experience

3.5

The college provides placements and the average package is INR 10.50 LPA while the highest package is INR 34 LPA . Many students opt for future studies rather than sitting for placements still the percentage of placements is 85-90% . The average package is not very appealing that is why I will also be trying for future studies but will still give the placements a shot

Fees and Financial Aid

The yearly fees that includes bothe sem 1&2 is around 27 thousand . There are scholarships available for each and every student of Hindu college . To participate one has to write an exam to win the scholarship. The fees increase every year . This fee is for the course BA eco hons and for the category OBC . Each course has different fee structure. The books are not included in the fee , u will have to pay for them separately.

Campus Life

4

The overall college experience is nice . There are many events happening around , there are fests too . Various webinars and workshops also take place . The library of college has a wide range of books and journals , the library has 3 floors all filled with books and journals . Anyone can issue them using their id card or by library card . The sports complex is huge , that is where the famous meca takes place .

Hostel Facilities

3

I haven't opted for hostel so I am not so sure about the hostel facilities and neither do I live in any rented accommodation. But I can say that the basic facilities are available but services like laundry are not available in all the hostels . The quality of food is also average and the menu is repetitive so u get bored of eating the same food every Monday or Tuesday.

Admission

Hindu college is well renowned and as we all know is 1st in NIRF ranking. The college has great facilities than other colleges , like there is a research centre named RELAXO in the college itself . The faculty of the college is one of the best . The college has various societies the student can be a part of like 180DC , tedx, etc . The Hindu college is different from other colleges as this college has the parliament same as that of our country's unlike other colleges . This was my second preference. First was SRCC but my score wasn't enough but also there is much more diversity in Hindu as compared to SRCC be it course or students .

Faculty

2.5

The faculty to student ratio is very bad there is one professor for more than 100 students . Also the classrooms are so small to accommodate these many people. The faculty members are no doubt very knowledgeable but I m not sure about their teaching . Many faculties like CKR sir , he has degrees but he can't even explain simple things to students . Niti Bhutani ma'am is good at teaching but the only problem is she is not ready to help u and will not go out of the way to help u , u will have to figure out own ur own . The teachers are not at all considerate towards children

Interview Experience

4

There was as such no group discussions or interviews but there was a written test commonly known as CUET for admission . It is mandatory to give this entrance test and then according to ur score u get the admission in the college from the preference list Rajasthan u prepare. But yeah after admission you get involved in group discussions and have to give interviews to be a part of societies in the college

The course curriculum is a bit too theoretical and less practical. The exams in the college takes places every month which are seasonals and are for internal marking and then we have semester exams in every 6 months which accounts for the external marking.

Placement Experience:

Placements are available in college, the drive is quite extensive, everyone is made aware of the choices and options and counselling is present too. It is from the third year, students are eligible to apply for placements. Companies and organisations take part such as Niti ayog, Times, Geostrata, Prajatantra foundation, etc. Those who desire usually work on their CVs, keep on doi internships and then get a placement. The packages are not that impressive to be honest.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course is really very interesting. It keeps up with our expectations. Involves both practical and theoretical aspects to make sure that we are able to face the real world. Also, with the help of the guidance that we get from teachers we're able to ace both the aspects. The examinations also are based on applications, thus, helping us to enhance ourselves in all possibilities.

I got a seat in Ramjas College. It is a north-campus college. The infrastructure is too good compared to the remaining colleges. The teaching also going well but I faced some language problems. I'm from south India so I don't understand Hindi properly. But here mostly they teach in Hindi only and English is used very rarely.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course itself is prestigious and is mostly opted for by people who plan either on preparing for the Civil Services or those who want to pursue academia. The course structure is framed in a manner that you don't just simply study history there, but you ingrain a critical viewpoint of a young historian. The faculty of History Hons. has some of the best Professors in the University, although you will in any course at any college find some teachers below your expectations, you don't have to bear them for more than 1 or 2 semesters. Passing the exams is not very difficult, but yes scoring above average is. If you get a GPA ranging from 6 to 7, you've performed fine. Above that is considered a Very good performance in Hons. courses of Social sciences at Delhi University. there are semester exams every 5- 6 months
