Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

The course curriculum included many subjects which are of my interest as I wanted to prepare for civil services exam. The subjects were very inclusive and suitable for the people looking to pursue teaching career and preparing for civil services examination. However the areas which can be improved in the course curriculum is the research and presentation to be performed by the students The exams are conducted half yearly. B.a course was for 3 years which included 6semesters with 4 subjects in each semester where students can choose their elective subjects according to their interests.

Internships Opportunities

1

There are a very few internships available to the students even for the students from bcom course. Companies like tredily, LFT, itc,etc provide students the internships but stipend is not included , these are only certificate and experience internships. The tasks mainly provided are content writing, social media campaigning.

Placement Experience

4

Placement is not provided for all the courses. Placements are provided only for courses like bcom bcom hons etc. students get eligible for placement after 5th sem and are enrolled by the placement cell for the placement. The placement is organised by the placement cell in the college which is very helpful for the placement. The companies which generally come are ey and delloite they are mass recruiters and almost everyone interested can get placed in these companies with campus selection. The highest package in my batch went up to 28'00000 p.a and average was 6,00,000p.a My plans were to prepare for civil services examination and pursue higher studies

Fees and Financial Aid

Fee for b.a hons fees was 5000 per semester. For SC and ST students fees were less they were also provided with scholarship of rupees 20000 per semester. For other courses such as bcom and bcom hons the fees was rs6000 and 8000 respectively and scholarships for other categories students

Campus Life

5

Overall my experience was pretty good as, the college was not only about academics it taught us various things . The election experience is amazing for everyone, especially for those who contest in elections. The festival are too good there are events every week organised by societies and departments. Overall the vibe is always lively and the students here are very nice to each other . The plus point for freshers is zero tolerance policy towards ragging. There are a lot societies from NCC,NSS to enactus, dance and fashion society and many more ,there's an option for everyone according to their interest.

Admission

I chose the college as I met it's cut off criteria and it was among the best colleges of south campus in Delhi university and the faculties here are great and very student friendly. I also got admission in other higher cut off requiring colleges but I liked the area so I continued here. The admission process not very hectic unlike other Delhi university colleges where it takes 6 7 hours to complete all the documentation process and get admission

Faculty

3.5

The faculty was very good and student friendly. They always helped students in their courses. For research purposes they always encouraged students. They help with assignments as well. Faculties like Harish sir were very friendly and knowledgeable. Whereas professors of environmental studies and administration subject were not as good as other faculty members The examinations are taken in the form of semesters and each semester has 4 subjects which are easily cleared by the students, although,it's very hard to score beyond 7gpa. The course curriculum is somewhat relatable to the industry and helps the students gets real life knowledge and experience from various curriculum involved in the course

Placement Experience:

Placements are available in college, the drive is quite extensive, everyone is made aware of the choices and options and counselling is present too. It is from the third year, students are eligible to apply for placements. Companies and organisations take part such as Niti ayog, Times, Geostrata, Prajatantra foundation, etc. Those who desire usually work on their CVs, keep on doi internships and then get a placement. The packages are not that impressive to be honest.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course is really very interesting. It keeps up with our expectations. Involves both practical and theoretical aspects to make sure that we are able to face the real world. Also, with the help of the guidance that we get from teachers we're able to ace both the aspects. The examinations also are based on applications, thus, helping us to enhance ourselves in all possibilities.

I got a seat in Ramjas College. It is a north-campus college. The infrastructure is too good compared to the remaining colleges. The teaching also going well but I faced some language problems. I'm from south India so I don't understand Hindi properly. But here mostly they teach in Hindi only and English is used very rarely.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course itself is prestigious and is mostly opted for by people who plan either on preparing for the Civil Services or those who want to pursue academia. The course structure is framed in a manner that you don't just simply study history there, but you ingrain a critical viewpoint of a young historian. The faculty of History Hons. has some of the best Professors in the University, although you will in any course at any college find some teachers below your expectations, you don't have to bear them for more than 1 or 2 semesters. Passing the exams is not very difficult, but yes scoring above average is. If you get a GPA ranging from 6 to 7, you've performed fine. Above that is considered a Very good performance in Hons. courses of Social sciences at Delhi University. there are semester exams every 5- 6 months
